“Bomb Found Along MLK Parade Route”

A bomb was found along the Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade route in Spokane, Washington.

The discovery before Monday’s parade for the slain civil rights leader, raised the possibility of a racial motive in a region that has been home to a white supremacist Nations.

The suspicious backpack was spotted by three city employees about an hour before the parade was to start, they looked inside, saw wires and immediately alerted law enforcement.

“The confluence of the holiday, the march and the device is inescapable,” said law enforcement special agent in charge of the Spokane FBI office. “But we are not at the point where we can draw any particular motive.”

The parade route was changed to avoid the device and a bomb disposal unit disabled it without incident.

Officers also declined to release details of the device, other than to call it a functional bomb that could have caused multiple casualties; and that the “potential for injury and death were clearly present”.

Prejudice, bigotry and hate, is still alive and well people, alive and well!

It was probably the family of those who killed KING that planted the bomb.

Some people will fight social progress kicking and screaming, you know? It’s so sad.

Remember the 4 girls killed in a bombing of a church in Alabama in the early 60’s? Many of us have evolved. The madman did not.

  1. Let’s see. A bomb along a parade route to celebrate MLK? In Spokane? I guess we’d better completely ignore history to solve this one.

    Really Ms. Bell,
They found it (the bomb) because they felt the need to look for one.

    1. WRONG, they found it because someone thought that the pack that was left unattended, looked suspicious and called it in, FOOL!!!!

    2. Well you know what @Angelhair, maybe they should NOT have investigated the suspicious looking backpack and just let the bomb explode and kill countless people?

      1. The episode was ok, Mel finally told Derwin but only after Janay was about to do it. Derwin was going to divorce her but stayed with Melanie…Jason is bitter (because the Sabers let him go) and is sticking it to the Saber organization, Tasha Mack and Kelly are friends again….Janay is about to wipe Derwin out with child support and visitation days….that sucks…

The show was ok, next weeks show looks good though…

    1. Besides inflicting violence upon blacks, they also targeted politicians who opposed Jim Crow laws, and made sure that their own couldn’t be convicted in a court of law. Al-Qaeda may get the headlines these days, but there have been no terrorists in this country more persistent, more pervasive, and more destructive than the KKK

      2. I agree that the KKK are and have been racist terrorists. Will you agree the blackpanthers are the same?
        —————————–
The original Black Panthers were created as a RESPONSE to KKK lynchings, killings, cross burnings, and the overall terrorism of blacks in this country.

Please remember that back then, blacks didn’t really have many LEGAL solutions to their problems...white cops, some of whom were members of the KKK in their area, didn’t particularly rush to assist blacks who were victims of crimes perpetrated by the KKK. So some blacks decided to ban together and arm themselves for protection.

To miss that point is to be willfully DUMB and naive.
