“Jets Coach Suspended For The Season”

New York Jets trainer Sal Alosi was suspended without pay for the rest of the 2010 season and fined $25,000 for tripping a Dolphins player on the sideline during a game on Sunday.

Alosi was caught on video sticking out his left knee to trip Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll, who ran out-of-bounds while covering a punt in the third quarter of Miami’s 10-6 win.

Sal, while blinking back fake tears, said on Monday, “I let everybody down yesterday with my actions. My actions were inexcusable and irresponsible.”

“I wasn’t thinking,” Alosi said. “If I could go back and do it again, I sure as heck would take a step back. It was just a situation where I wasn’t thinking.”

Carrol, who broke his right leg twice while playing in high school and college, said he wasn’t angry about the incident.

The suspension will begin immediately. General manager Mike Tannenbaum said Alosi will also not be allowed to interact with any players or coaches “as it pertains to his job function.”

I haven’t started yet either. I might not even bother this year. These kids have me feeling rather Grinchy right now.

May just take me a mini vacation with the gift money and leave their azzes staring at an empty place under the Christmas tree.

The four year-old is just being a four year-old and has built a house on my last nerve.

The eight year-old is acting like a four year-old and he even told me to shut up to my face the other day. Girrrrrrl…my patience and self control are running on empty right about now…

    4. 🙂 I was ready to crack my 4 year old’s jaw on Saturday. I had to tell his lil azz to get away from me, before I catch a case. And told my husband to make sure he got bail money just in case. Lil fools be losing their minds.

    5. @Yvonne & Mrs: see that’s why I’m scared to have little rascals.. my boy said his nephew cursed at him the other day. My brother told me my now 5 year old nephew answered the phone like “Waddap nicca?” when he called.. My Godsister said my niece flexed on her when she yelled at her. I think I would go bat shyt crazy and punch my kid in the THOTE if they tried me like that…

The four year-old STAYS in my face. I’m like why buy him toys when he won’t leave me alone long enough to play with them.

      @Ebony

My hands have a mind of their own sometimes and I’ll see them reaching for a young tender throat and have to stop myself real quick.

  2. That was so low of him. But I have a question, if he is a Christian, does that make this a Christian act of violence? Just wondering

If the camera wasn’t following Nolan down the field they wouldn’t be talking about this right now. They was talking about that on ESPN..

The Jets is my team but that was uncalled for. I didn’t watch the game because I saw how they were losing so I turned it but he shouldn’t have done that.

  5. That is inexcusable and extremely immature. What if that Dolphins player had broken a bone or tore a muscle? What if that led to him being permanently unable to play ball anymore? The Jets would have to pay out the wazoo. That coach was thinking…childishly 😦

    1. Exactly @Zion, but his dumb azz didn’t care nor was he thinking of all the ‘what if’s’ he simply didn’t give a shit!

  6. The assistant coach should be happy the player didn’t get hurt and that was all he received for his punishment. I was watching Pardon the Interruption yesterday and one of the co-hosts laughed it off as if it wasn’t a big deal. What if he would have gotten injured? What if it would have been a career-ending injury? I can’t believe an assistant coach would be that stupid. It was uncalled for.

  9. he looks hella prejudice to me – they always spout that christianity bullshit before they lynch your ass…. he need to be fired – nothing happned to dude but “what if” it did – its the “what if’s” we need to be concerned with – next time somebody might end up with brain damage… that shit ain’t funny and he should know better.

    1. Hey Q:
I would think a trainer would know how damaging an unexpected fall could be to somebody sprinting down the sidelines.

They should make him shave the rest of that receding hairline off and then fire him

  11. I would not have admitted to shit. If I were the trainer, I would have fought it.

The Dolphins player should not have been all running into the coaches on the Jets’ sideline. SMDH.
