“Nicole Paultre Bell Campaigns W/Al Sharpton”

With election day less than a week away, Nicole Paultre Bell campaigned on the steps of City Hall yesterday with other politicians who are backing her bid for the Queen’s City Council.

Bell, whose beau, Sean Bell, was killed by police officers on their wedding day in 2006, stumped with the Rev. Al Sharpton, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer and Council members Melissa Mark-Viverito, Brad Lander, Jumaane Williams, Letitia James, Ydanis Rodriguez and James Sanders.

Sharpton announced that, Paultre Bell used her tragedy “pain into power for people.” She’s one of seven candidates vying for the open Jamaica seat.

Are there any Queens residents here on the CEO Blog who will be voting for Nicole Paultre Bell? I’d like to know!

      2. @Anthony, of course sharpton encouraged her, that’s obvious. and he’ll be the one pulling those political strings from the background. sharpton’s looking to butter his bread of course. it’s always about him.

  1. It’s pretty disgusting that she took her dead fiance’s last name in order to run for political office. She apparently has no shame.

  2. I BELEIVE WITH MY WHOLE HEART THAT NICOLE ACTUALLY CARES AND WANTS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I applaud her (as to her association with Sharptongue, he is the one who brought her to the dance this far and she owes him) I support Nicole, but I’m not in her district. . . . and I am way too old to say “YOU GO GIRL!!”

  3. Yeah, yeah, yeah…Good ole Al, informed Ms. Paultre-Bell how much money THEY can make and she was ALL IN…Seriously, what was she doing with her life before her fiancee was killed? I’m not hating, I’m just asking? If she has good intentions, good for her and well wishes. But nothing good is associated with Al sharpton, so her judgement is questionable

  4. She’s actually very personable. It’ s just that she hasn’t got a clue on the issues, how the city works or anything else.

  5. There are seven candidates to replace Tom White. Nicole is one of four who don’t live in the district, although she’s supposedly going to establish residency before Tuesday. Five of the other six have legal, ethical and or financial taints. The most qualified and squeaky-clean choice is the other woman (and only veteran) in the contest, Martha Taylor-Butler, who, not surprisingly, raised no money to campaign. So the odds are another puppet, a crook or whacko will be going to the council. Shame.
