  16. Unfortunately Katherine is a product of her environment & the time period she grew up in. Women were treated like dogs, told to sit, stay, and be quiet. If their husbands were cheating, they were expected to “look the other way”. In black families, children getting the shit kicked out of them was considered “normal” and “necessary” for good, proper “discipline”. She let Joe terrorize her kids so she could live the high life in sunny California with her superstar children. Didn’t matter if her kids were happy or not. They were making money & got her & Joe out of cold, poor, depressing ass Gary, Indiana. The price some people pay for fame. I feel sorry for her in a sense. She didn’t have the courage to leave & protect her children in the “right” way. She sacrificed the mental & emotional well being of her kids just to please a man who did her dirty over and over again. SAD!!!!

  23. Katherine & Joe were a mess from day one. Their entire family was fucked up. All that “close-knit, loving, supportive” BULLSHIT was exactly that. They moved to L.A. and just became more fucked up, becoming really rich & losing their black consciousness simultaneously. Each one got a nose job. There would’ve been no rhinoplasty if they stayed their asses in Gary. Michael blew up & left his mediocre brothers behind, causing massive jealousy & resentment. Latoya was the most jealous since she was considered the prettiest (til she fucked with her nose) but *Janet* had the musical success. Jermaine & Latoya are cut from the same cloth Joe was. Thankfully Michael is finally free of their motherfucking bullshit.

  25. I read on another blog that the main reason why Katherine is filing for divorce (for the third time in 30 years) is because she is listed on Michael’s will and Joe is not. As long as they are still married, Joe still has a legal right to whatever Katherine gets. I’m wondering if she’s in bad health or something…maybe she’s trying to get her paperwork straight so Joe doesn’t get anything.

    Anyway, my point is this: If Katherine would had attempted some type of intervention, Michael would still be alive today.

    I wouldn’t go as far as blaming Katherine for Michael’s death, because at the end of the day he WAS a grown man (albeit a immature grown man), but if Katherine would had told him to cut out all the bullshit (taking drugs) Michael would still be here.

    Micheal Jackson was one person who did not need to be living alone.

    I could understand if she wanted to remarry or have a male companion, but divorce after 60yrs makes no sense when they are already living separate lives. They both live in different states and no matter what, they are still going to communicate with each other. They have a history together and I don’t see that changing. I think it’s totally pointless now. She should’ve done it when her kids were still children—she was young and it could’ve done everyone involved some good. A divorce ain’t gonna change shit now. It’s best she save herself unnecessary stress and just keep living like she has been. Katherine’s what 80? just live your life katie.

  49. Everyone who keeps saying she was the only person who Michael would listen to, so why didn’t she talk to him. Well to be honest we don’t know what type of private conversations Katherine had with Michael. How do we know she didn’t try to save him?! At the end of the day michael was grown and all the money was coming from him so he was going to do what he wanted to do. I’m sure Katherine had plenty of conversations with michael telling him he was perfect the way he was, and she loved him the way he was, that still didn’t stop Micheal from getting surgery after surgery. Michael was grown and money wise, he was the life line of the entire Jackson family so at the end of the day NO ONE was going to tell him what to do.

    I’m guessing that’s why Katherine decided to pull the plug now, at such a late stage in the game. She wants to keep her assets SEPARATE to do with as she (and her heirs) see fit, now and after her death.

  60. Katherine is definitely a product of her generation. Yes she should have left him along time ago but they were separated so she probably didn’t feel the need to divorce him. I believe MJ’s death, and being blamed for it, was trully the straw that broke the camel’s back. MJ was her baby and she never imagined him dying before her. They had such a close and loving relationship. If finally divorcing him brings her some degree of happiness, then I’m happy for her. No one knows how many more years she will be blessed with so go for it.
