This country is in utter turmoil. There have been protests in 25 states across AmeriKKKa since the murder of George Floyd at the hands of a white police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota just a week ago. Floyd’s murder is added to the growing list of so many other black men and women killed in custody at the hands of police.

All 4 officers on the scene have been fired for standing idly by and watching their fellow officer choke the life out of Floyd with his knee on his neck for a total of 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Black America is outraged as these events of racism have reached a boiling point. In the midst of protest rippled across US cities, president Trump has called on the national guard as a tougher response, since looting and violent clashes have hijacked the protestors purpose.

Governors in 28 states and the District of Columbia had called in the National Guard as of Tuesday morning, deploying more than 20,400 troops to focus on containing the unrest, over 3,000 more than the day before.

The pulse of America has reached it’s boiling point and we’re talking about it on ‘Conversations Of A Sistah6:30 p.m. EST. on Blog Talk Radio.

“Harassed & Killed while Black” Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

MINNEAPOLIS, MN,- MAY 26: People face off with police near the Minneapolis 3rd Police Precinct.

Two incidents took place this week, one in New York City and the other in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A huge “I can’t breath” rally took place in Minnesota after the death of George Floyd who died in police custody. Four Minneapolis police officers have been fired after a video taken by a bystander was posted on social media showing Floyd’s neck being pinned to the ground by an officer as he repeatedly said, “I can’t breathe”. Floyd was later pronounced dead after being transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. Over 1000 people attended a rally outside the 3rd Precinct Police Station in Minneapolis, Minnesota to protest the death of George Floyd who died in police custody.

Then on Monday in Central Park, Christian Cooper (pictured left above) was bird watching when a white woman (pictured right) made a frantic 911 call on a Black man for asking her to leash her dog. The woman was later fired after the video went viral throughout social media.

Why are Blacks the most wanted or most haunted? Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Haunted because the Corona Virus is killing us at an alarming rate and wanted because between racist neighbors and racist cops we’re targeted at an alarming rate.

So why are Black People Most Wanted or Haunted?

Blacks are more likely to be stopped by police, therefore it’s hard to drive while black. We could be killed in our own homes or even jogging in a neighborhood. No matter what we do, we are oftentimes seen as a threat. Viewed and discriminated against because of the color of our skin.

When we talk about rates, rates are important because they take into account each group’s proportion of the population. And blacks make up about 13 percent of the U.S. population, but accounted for 28 percent of arrests, with many more violent altercations..

Why are we the most wanted and why are we the most haunted? Tune into “Conversations Of A Sistah” at 6:30 p.m. EST as we deal with this question.

Hope to meet you on the air.

When is it safe to open the Country again? Tonight on ‘Conversations Of A Sistah’

After weeks of shutdown because of the coronavirus pandemic, the nation has begun to slowly open up. President Trump declared May 1, when experts warned that Opening the economy too soon and confronting an enormous rise in deaths will inevitably scare everyone and lead to the worse economic setback in modern history. Some southern states opened last week. Beaches and state parks are reopening to visitors, spurring concerns about overcrowding. The first barbers have returned to work, masks over their faces. Some restaurants are getting ready to serve customers again. About half of the states have begun to reopen their economies and public life in some meaningful way, though health experts have expressed concern that a premature opening could lead to a spike in coronavirus infections that would not be detected in official case counts for weeks.

So when is it safe to open the country again?

Join us in the studio at 6:30 p.m. EST on Conversations Of A Sistah for the answer to this question. And we’ll be taking your calls in the studio at 516-595-8098
