Kidnapped Nigerian Schoolgirls have names!

partial list of names of the 223 Nigerian schoolgirls still in captivity has been released. The girls were kidnapped from their beds at a boarding school 3 weeks ago by armed Boko Haram militants. The Boko Haram leader has taken responsibility for the kidnappings and claims he sold the girls as sex slaves for as little as $12 each.

President Obama has since taken action by sending in arm forces to aid in the search for these girls. In the meantime social media have been up in arms demonstrating active roles in the protest.

Pictured below is my young cousin, a Sophomore at Morgan State University and she’s asking “Every One to Please Post A Picture Doing The Same Thing I’m Doing Using The Same Caption (Instead Of ‪#‎MorganCares‬ You Can Say‪#‎ICare‬). We Need These 234 Nigerian Girls FOUND!”

I’m elated that she’s taking an active role in the protest will you?

Rutgers Fires Abusive Coach Amid Public Outcry (Video)

Rutgers University has fired men’s basketball coach Mike Rice less than 24 hours after ESPN’s Outside the Lines aired shocking video footage of Rice verbally and physically abusing his players.

The video footage shows an unhinged Rice physically attacking his players and throwing basketballs at their heads during practice.

The video sparked anger and outrage on Wednesday. NBA star LeBron James vented his anger on Twitter.com Tuesday, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was “deeply disturbed” by the video.

The saddest aspect of the video was the players, seeing their spirits broken, absorbing the abuse heaped on them by their coach as if they had no other choice but to accept the abuse. 3 basketball players transferred to other schools as a result of Rice’s abuse.

The video was turned over to the school last Summer by former director of player development Eric Murdock, whose contract was not renewed after he came forward with the allegations. Murdock has since filed a lawsuit against Rutgers.

Murdock, who is black, sat for an interview with Outside The Lines.
