Nurse Who Took Prank Call Kills Herself!

The hospital receptionist who was hoaxed by a prank call from a DJ claiming to be the queen asking about Kate Middleton has been found dead. The woman apparently couldn’t take the embarrassment from the hoopla the incident caused, so she killed herself.

“It is with very deep sadness that we confirm the tragic death of a member of our nursing staff,” the hospital said in a statement released today.

The nurse was identified as Jacintha Saldanha. The hospital said that Saldanha worked at the hospital for more than four years. They called her an “first-class nurse” and “a well-respected and popular member of the staff.”

“We can confirm that Jacintha was recently the victim of a hoax call to the hospital,” the statement said. “The hospital had been supporting her throughout this difficult time.”

The hospital extended their “deepest sympathies” to family and friends, saying that “everyone is shocked” at this “tragic event.”

“She will be greatly missed,” the hospital said.

Earlier this week, the hospital fell for a prank call from an Australian radio show where the hosts pretended to be Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles looking to speak to Kate Middleton, who had been admitted to the hospital for her pregnancy. The call was put through to a second nurse who told the royal impersonators that Kate was “quite stable” and hadn’t “had any retching.”

The duchess spent three days at the hospital undergoing treatment for hyperemesis gravidarum, severe or debilitating nausea and vomiting. She was released from the hospital on Thursday morning.

I can already tell by the media hype over this royal pregnancy that I’m going to be glad when this girl have this baby, the royal heir.

“Michelle Obama “WOWS” at The Kennedy Center Honors”

Michelle Obama

Stars from New York, Hollywood and the music world joined President Barack and First lady Michelle Obama at the White House on Sunday night to salute the honorees, whose ranks included: actor Dustin Hoffman, Chicago bluesman Buddy Guy, ballerina Natalia Makarova, David Letterman and rock band Led Zeppelin at The Kennedy Center Honors.

Michelle Obama was sharp in a dazzling gold evening gown and although the White House declined to name the designer, we know it’s a Michael Kors gold lame chiffon gown from his Resort 2013 collection.

I’m not always crazy about what our first lady wears but when her outfit is a winner (like this one), I have to talk about it.

Is Michelle Obama sharp or what?

Her Parents Found out she was dead, via Facebook!

Jasmine Benjamin (pictured above), a 17-year-old nursing student at Valdosta State University from Lawrenceville, Ga., was found dead in a study area of her dorm on Nov. 18. Georgia police are treating the death as a homicide, pending the results of an autopsy test. Jasmine’s parents say they found out about their daughter’s death via Facebook.

“For someone to be so insensitive not to reach out to the family, it’s very, very hurtful to say the least,” James Jackson, Jasmine’s stepfather, told the network.

School officials say campus police notified the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department, which then notified her parents. Jackson said police told him that Jasmine “had been dead for at least 12 hours before she was found, because passers-by thought she was simply sleeping on the study room couch” which only adds to the family’s frustration.

In a statement released Monday, the university said it is “continuing to work with law enforcement agencies in their ongoing investigation.”

Parents… stay in touch with your college bound students, the devil coupled with tragedy is likely to strike anywhere.

Obama Arrives in NYC to Survey Damage!

And was greeted when he walked off Airforce One by, New York Governor Cuomo, Housing Secretary Shaun Donovan, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

“We’re going to have to put some of the turf battles aside,” Obama said in remarks on the ravaged eastern shore of Staten Island. “We’re going to have to make sure that everybody is focused on doing the job as opposed to worrying about who is getting the credit or who is getting the contracts, or all that stuff that sometimes goes into the rebuilding process.”

In a three-hour sweep through storm-ravaged neighborhoods that included a helicopter tour of southern Brooklyn and Queens and meetings with storm victims on Staten Island, the President spoke in general terms about his commitment to help the city — but made no specific promises.

“I’m very proud of you, New York,” Obama said after walking through a Staten Island neighborhood that was devastated by the historic hurricane. “You guys are tough. You bounce back.”

Did Hurricane Sandy Save President Obama’s re-election?

This is what Gov. Haley Barbour of South Carolina said to Matt Lauer on the Today show this morning. The big story and part of the blame is being aimed at New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Christie teamed up with President Obama last week as both men responded to the devastation caused by the big storm. Christie then praised Obama’s response like an endorsement.

Christie a potential 2016 White House contender said, he worked harder than just about every other republican to elect Romney, and that his recent praise of Obama had nothing to do with Romney’s loss.

“My activity with President Obama was just another chapter in the leadership I’ve tried to show in this state, which is people care more about getting things done than they care about partisanship,” he said Wednesday.

“And I’m going to continue to conduct myself that way.”

What’s your take on this? Do you think Christie’s praise of president Barack Obama’s hurricane response was somewhat of an endorsement and did President Obama’s response save his re-election? Please sound off because I strongly disagree with the South Carolina Governor.
