He was the first African American head coach at the University of Michigan and on top of his game. Just as he was preparing the team for the Dec. 31 Citrus Bowl he instead ended the day unemployed and a suspect in an alleged assault.
Head coach Sherrone Moore, was terminated after an internal investigation found “credible evidence” that the coach was in an “inappropriate relationship” with his executive assistant, Paige Shiver. Ms. Shivers saw her salary spike from $58,025 in 2024 to $90,000, without any apparent change in job title, according to publicly available figures on college staffer salaries. Shiver, a 32-year-old Purdue grad from West Lafayette, Indiana, is the daughter of a longtime scout for the Chicago Bears.
Moore was arrested for assault, after police were called to the apartment complex, where one-bed apartments are available for $1,800 to rent, around 4 p.m. Wednesday “for the purposes of investigating an alleged assault,” according to a statement from Pittsfield Township police.
Shiver reported the affair after Moore fired her, He was fired with cause after an outside investigation found “credible evidence” of an “inappropriate relationship” with the staffer, according to a statement.
Moore the married father of three, was booked into the Washtenaw County Jail on Wednesday evening, where he currently remains. He is set to be arraigned on Friday, December 12.

its only a matter of time before this basic becky shows up on a tv screen with a lawyer and tears in her eyes about how she was lied to, mislead and abused. That the university didnt protect her. she is going to get paid from the university and ex-coach
if you are high profile and want to do this, you have to get NDA’s and agreements set in place. its much cheaper to find a sidepiece and agree to pay her rent/car note for a couple years and then walk away clean. but at least you keep your job and probably keep your wife so you don’t have the public embarrassment.
