Mayor Corey Booker is back in Season 2 with his Newark New Jersey’s reality series “Brick City”.

Created and directed by the award-winning filmmakers Mark Benjamin and Marc Levin, BRICK CITY, is a five-part documentary series that captures the daily drama of a community striving to become a better, safer, stronger place to live.

Against great odds, Newark’s citizens and its Mayor, Cory A. Booker, fight to raise the city out of nearly a half century of violence, poverty and corruption.

Newark, New Jersey is known as BRICK CITY for its architectural style, urban strength and human resilience.  The city has consistently been a battlefield of high stakes drama, and in the wake of the riots and rebellion that exploded in 1967, it became a symbol of American urban decline.

The “Brick City” Series premiers Sunday, January 30 at 8:00pm, check your local listing for channel guide.

        Club Wally World, 24 hours, 7 days a week, no charge, they don’t even check for ID
        They smile and say my name, soon as I enter , they look at my chain and say I’m a big spiller
        … pocket full of cake it dont fold back , I’m in great place, the prices roll back

    I commend him for trying to make a difference in such a ‘cursed city’ as newark. may he leave a lasting legacy for all to remember during his time in office as mayor.
