“He Hasn’t Stepped Down Although It Looks”

Although Bishop Eddie Long said he will not step down or step aside while he fights allegations of sexual misconduct brought on by several young men from his church however, it looks like that’s exactly what he’s done.

For the last couple of Sunday’s now, there have been guest preachers at New Birth Missionary Baptist church, Bishop has been present but explained to his congregation how he needs to spend more time with his family and that “God wanted him to rest and be refreshed. He added that, from time to time the congregations would see him sitting on the side so he could hear “what God is saying and so I don’t miss anything.”

The Bishop’s absence was also a tell- tell sign at “Stand” this year. Stand is an annual church meeting which is held yearly at the Georgia Dome and it draws a crowd 30,000 to 40,000 of the faithful each year.

Although Long has supported Stand from its inception, this year he was a no-show.

Deep down inside, I think he’s embarrassed.

      We should get a daily or weekly report if not it will be easier to sweep it under the rug. The National news is ignoring the story at the moment. If you don’t like the reports then shut up and stay outside of the comments here.

  6. IMO, He didn’t need to be @Stand. They knew he would be nothing but a distraction. They probably led people to be;ieve he’d be there and had them thinking he was going to be there so they wouldn’t change their minds and not show up (with their wallets). wow.

  7. Sorry, Mr. Long. The jig is up. It’s over. New Birth needs to either have a new birth for real or dissolve, but should not be allowed to continue with business as usual as if the allegations against Long don’t matter. The allegations need to be addressed. I’m glad this alleged sodomite is being outed. I’d probably have a different opinion of Long if he didn’t use religion and profit financially while having his alleged, global sexcapades. Hypocrite!

      I don’t believe that is his wife standing next to him, but she may be related to him as she does somewhat resemble him. The picture I saw of what is supposed to be his beard, er, wife, showed a much older looking woman with a lighter complexion.

  9. Bottom line: The media needs to take his ass to task (pun intended) like they like to do with Kanye’s ass, but they won’t because of the homosexual elements involved in the cases against him. High profile media pundits, journalists, and talk show hosts, etc., especially the heterosexual ones, are afraid of being taken down by the “Gay MAFIA”, so they are keeping mum on the situation to keep from being labeled homophobes and suffering the consequences of it. Also, Long is financially wealthy, although spiritually broken, and well connected to people in power. Those that go after him will have to stand up to money and power, which is not so easy to do.

    1. Can I co-sign to that? We’re quick to talk about yt doing crazy stuff but when it comes to our preacher we’ll fly all the way to Guyana and drink some poison kool-aid just because the preacher told us to do it. People need to wake up and realize that these preachers don’t have any more connection to God as the average person does. We all have access to the same books they read. It’s ok to listen but use the mind God gave you and think about the stuff that goes on around you before you end up getting tricked out by a preacher.
