“Long Ignites His Members To Cross It Up”

I guess this is one of Bishop Eddie Long’s preaching styles and techniques, as he encourages his members including his sporty’s and shorty’s to “cross it up”.

Looks like “Bishop Long” had his members caught up in the sensationalism concerning his theories of worship.

I received this video from a loyal reader who said, ‘The video is sweeping the internet with different versions since the four alleged victims have accused Long of sexual misconduct”.

The caption on you tube reads:  Bishop Eddie Long cranks up the new “Cross It Up” dance based upon Genesis 48:13-14.

    2. he is wearing a pastor’s jacket. Most preachers wear them while preaching if they do not have a on a suit jacket. I actually like the dance. I just pray yall continue to cover Bishop Long during this time. It is not our place to judge him. The truth will come out whether he did it or not. this is an attack on the Church as whole and not just Bishop Eddie Long. It could be you…sleeping with the pastor, etc. Be careful about who you put your mouth on. With all that being said…God bless.

        I don’t think this is an attack on the church. This is an attack on the EVIL in the church. The evil needs to come to light so it can be removed. To me, this is GOD removing the veil and giving the congreation an opportunity to OPEN THEIR EYES and drive the devil (Eddie Long and company) out of the church. This is an attack on THE DEVIL.

      But I honestly don’t see anything wrong with a live and hyped praise and worship esp if you have a younger congreation.
      I have been to a church that had a 5pm worship service for the youth.
      The praise and worship was crunk. they even did gospel poetry.
      If you can dance all night while sinning you can surely give God the praise through dance.

I never gave a clear comment on this subject but the only thing I will say is that as a church member no matter what church you attend it is also your responsibilty to be a Christian and speak out against things that is not befitting of the community and most importantly the HOUSE OF GOD!!!! Know why you are going to church and that you are there to hear the word not everything else that is going on the minute you cross that line you are no longer going to church for the purpose of what is intended.

    With that said., back to 🙂 LMAO!!!!

  25. Ok…being raised in the baptist church,having seen many many preachers and interesting styles they have, is this real? Are they doing that dance in church? In the pulpit? Do they do that when collection is going on? Is this real or did they cut this from existing footage I guess I am trying to say. I know the music is not part of the church service but the crossing of hands..
    I am trying to not judge.. 😦

  32. Hello All. I find many black churches taking this ‘different, hip/hop’ religious approach. My sister attended a church in Florida and they were doing the electric slide! They think bringing this type of worship into the church will attract younguns. Eddie Longggggggggggggggggg knows just how to do this and well, especially gay black males! As for dating a pastor, I’ve had my share of men in my life but never, ever a man of the cloth. Personally, I don’t play with God like that. Peace.

  39. Its funny I’ve seen the same type of stuff go on in a local church….that was my first and last visit….I do not wish to leave one club and return to another one on Sunday?? 😦
    Not saying there is anything against getting young people’s attention….but my grandmother’s church wasn’t like this…and I just cant get wit it…I do enough cursing, and dead wrong shyt on my own, if Im ready to get clensed…how could I get sinful stuff outta my system going to church to do this? 😦 (just my opinion…don’t put me on the NEWBIRTH hit list)

    The Pastor @ our sister church called his concregation a bunch of hating ****s after they questioned where he got the $ from to buy a Benz! It was during the Pastor/First Lady apperation(sp) service too. Some of those mofo’s stood up and clapped & said tell it! I #died!

  45. I am so glad my Pastor is big on praise and worship and we have fun and cut up/dance in church all the time. The youth dance ministry did the dougie a few Suns ago while getting their praise on We still sing hymns as well we have a mixture. Our praise band is the bomb.com they will remix anything into a gospel song 🙂

  51. In all seriousness I believe the allegations are true and I fear for any other young impressionable young men who have not come forth and I have prayed on the whole scenario. This entire ordeal proven guilty or not is damaging to the community.
