A Harps supermarket in Mountain View, Ark., censored an Us Weekly cover featuring Elton John, husband David Furnish and their new baby, Zachary. Deemed inappropriate for “young Harps shoppers,” the store placed a “family shield” in front of the magazine.
The Mountain View Harps responded to a call from PopEater on Wednesday afternoon with a curt “no comment” before hanging up. A call to the corporate office redirected all calls and sent them to a voice mail when asked for official comment.
John and Furnish entered into a civil partnership 5 years ago. Their son Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John was born on Christmas day to a surrogate mom.

My friend used to work at a bookstore and they would keep all the xxx rated magazines, playboy, etc., behind the counter. This is censoring also. People have the right to sell what they want and use methods to censor things as they see fit.

So I’m pretty sure some random person most likely a biggot switched the magazines in the display for the sole purpose of taking a picture then claiming foul. It happens all the time like the people who find condoms in their burgers or fingers in their Wendy’s chilli. Someone takes a pictures then sends it to the media. High profile people are on the cover who happen to be gay… we’ve all been in the store before it isn’t like the magazines are under lock and key.
