“(The Game) Cast Promoting Tonight’s Show”

Actors Tia Mawry-Hardrict (Melanie) and Pooch Hall (Derwin), appeared on the PIX11 Morning News this morning to promote the new season of BET’s “The Game” in NYC.

The new season premieres tonight on BET! While castmates Pooch Hall, Tia Mawry Hardrict, Wendy Raquel Robinson and executive producer Salim Akil have all been making appearances to dish details on the show’s season premiere.

Channel 11 was “The Game’s” original network before they were dropped, this is what Tia Mawry-Hardrict had to say about it. 

“When we were with the CW we had very little support, now we have media attention. The CW gave us no promotion and now we have tons. Working with BET has truly been amazing.”

  3. Is it just me or does “Tasha Mack” look like Halle Berry’s crackead character in Jungle Fever????

    The bad wig is not a good look. Everytime I see it I imaging Halle walking up to Wesley at the very end of the moving telling him she’d suck on his peter. Eeeewwwhhhh!!!

  9. Tia is so right. The CW didn’t give them any love at all. Legions of people didn’t even know the show existed. BET got them all over the dang place. Shoot I think they might have even leaked those Hosea wee wee pics. It definately couldn’t have happened at a better time. I think its really going to be a ratings monster for them. I know I’ll be front row center like the fiend I’ve always been for the show.

    3. Girl Melanine and Derwin look so cute together. I keep forgetting that Pooch Hall is married in real life. On Wendy’s show yesterday, she showed a pic of Coby “fine” Bell and his family. I was hoping to see Pooch Hall’s fam as well.

    3. Tia’s makeup looks horrible. I think the foundation is too light for her skin and her eye makeup looks weird. To top it all off that hair do is not doing anything for the shape of her face. She just looks weird.

      Your skin color does get lighter in the winter. So taking that into consideration along with her off shade of makeup and the fact that she is MIXED I think she can get a pass.

    19. I enjoyed The Game’s premiere episode of their new season. Malik is dead wrong for sleeping with his boss’s wife and for doing Tee Tee like that. I have a feeling that Malik and Megan Good’s character will get exposed not from Tee Tee but from the club manager who brung (brang?) the mop into the bathroom. I hope that Melanie tells Derwin by the next episode that he is DJ’s biological father. If she doesn’t, I have a strong feeling that we will see a Melanie and Jenae fist fight/ slap fest. Kelly is a mess and I like the old Britney better. I am glad that Jason is still… Jason. I have always liked Derwin and I’m glad that he is getting positive football publicity and is “balling” now. I don’t like this insecure Tasha. I prefer the brash, trash talking, in control Tasha. I’m looking forward to the other episodes.

    20. Man I really want to vent about the game last nite.

      First, I agree with yall, they gave us too much too soon and if the baby wasn’t Derwin’s then BET was about to have one less viewer. Mel and Derwin situation should have been something lead up to. Why is Malik still whoring and with a maried woman, why couldn’t they have put him in a committed relationship w/Megan. Why the hell is Tasha Mack fooling around with a younger man and then with Terence from 106th, they should have made him Malik’s new flunky or whatever the hell he needs. Why is TT even on the show if he’s not going to be Malik’s flunky anymore?

      Kelly and Jason all I have to say is what the hell? And Britt Brat is that the same little girl? I thought that was a grown ass woman instead of a child. Overall, it was okay, but there should have been more suspense. The only reason I’ll be watching now is to see if Mel is going to tell Derwin that the baby is his.

    25. i haven’t watched the game for awhile now so i wasn’t excited about the primere. but i think i can see why others were. it was a black show that got cancelled but they rallied to get it back on the air. that’s commendable. i’ll still be watching first 48 marathons and oxygen instead.

      The show overall gets a C+ right now. Too much drama already and they need to turn up the sound effects! I need some audience laughter or something…

    8. It’s just my opinion. I was a fan from Day 1 and I’ll tell you why I gave it an average score. First off, I know it’s set two years later BUT I would have liked to have seen the show pick up from where it left off from. I’m not too fond of Ms. Bitter Kelly OR how desperate they made Girl Melanie seem. Oh and where were the sound effects? There was little to no audience laughter (real or recorded) or other effects. I miss that from the old show. I got used to hearing it. I felt like Dante (terrance J) and Tasha Mack were TOO much. I kept cringing when they kissed…They fast forward the show two years and bring in a 14 or 15, maybe 16 year Brit Brat …please….

      I’ll still watch the show because I want to see how some of the issues play out. I love that Malik and Derwin have swapped places. Derwin is on his way up and Malik is on his way down…he has some nerve sleeping with the owner’s wife.
