I’ve been out of the blog talk life for a minute. It’s been a busy and trying 2 years but I’m going to ease my way back into my blog talk radio spot. This Stella really needs to get her groove back. Take a listen and talk to me.
We’re starting Black History Month off with love and relationships in our topics list of discussions and tonight’s Conversation…”Is it better to be Married -or- Single?“
Obviously being single carries the least amount of emotional risk and stress and prevents the potential traumatic experiences a marriage can allow (like cheating, divorce, death of spouse). While being single allows you to not have to answer to another person’s happiness (to a realistic extent) at all. You can have more time to yourself.
But being single can also feel lonely at times and many older singles can find it hard to have friends, as many will be married and have families of their own (per some older singles).
Married life can give more security if both parties can cooperate. Money, socialization and the support of another person can sometimes allow you to be the best version of yourself. A good marriage builds you up especially if both partners support each others goal.
Since the global pandemic hit almost a year ago, it has given birth to a lot of entrepreneurs, individuals who have taken their skill sets to another level or expounded on their services to meet the needs of people. We see mobile businesses rolling up everywhere, providing services with safety measures in place to service the needs of clients, customers and individuals creatively.
You have telehealth professionals and front line workers making it happen in order to keep the economy moving forward. A couple of months ago I had my vehicle detailed from the comfort of my driveway, in the same sense you have companies doing home deliveries and services like never before.
After rejecting Joe Biden’s election win, and the constant lies of a fraudulent election to his base, the President of these united snakes of America incited an insurrection, a riot on January 6, 2021. All in an attempt to block the certification of President elect Joe Biden’s victory. These protestors, no these domestic terrorist stormed the capitol armed with firearms, make shift weapons, tear gas and everything needed for a government takeover. These pro Trump supporters took over the state capital without pushback or resistance. In fact the officers can be seen opening the gates for them. Had this been black lives matter the outcome would’ve been deadly!!!
MAGA protestors forced their way into the capitol building by breaking windows and crushing doors to gain entry. These entries led to the offices of Congressional lawmakers such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and James E. Clyburn. These domestic terrorist scrawled threatening notes throughout the chambers, with even one (pictured below) walking off with Pelosi’s lectern.
WASHINGTON, DC – JANUARY 06: A pro-Trump protester carries the lectern of U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi through the Roturnda of the U.S. Capitol Building after a pro-Trump mob stormed the building on January 06, 2021 in Washington, DC. Congress held a joint session today to ratify President-elect Joe Biden’s 306-232 Electoral College win over President Donald Trump. A group of Republican senators said they would reject the Electoral College votes of several states unless Congress appointed a commission to audit the election results. The holidays are upon us and with Thanksgiving just a week away people are anxious for connection. The isolation is not good for one’s metal health and let’s face it, some people are simply isolated due to Covid. The stress of getting it, not getting it is wreaking havoc on the nerves. We’re tired of hearing about it. Tired of talking about it, tired of wearing masks just plain old tired.
Unfortunately during this time of year and with where we are with COVID-19 and this pandemic, this is the time to be even more vigilant and more determined.
