vtd_cos-2Dopamine relationships are doomed to failure. Dopamine is the chemical that mediates pleasure in the brain and love is not always pleasurable.

Love is an action, not a feeling. Love is a profound sense of responsibility and respect for another human being. LOVE IS NOT SEX. No matter what that man tells you; you do not prove your love to anyone by having sex with them!

‘Love vs. Lust’ Know The Difference…Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Sexual attraction is notorious for obliterating common sense and intuition in the most sensible people. Why? Because lust is an altered state of consciousness programmed by the primal urge to procreate.

Pure lust is based solely on physical attraction and fantasy–it often dissipates when the “real person” surfaces. Being in love doesn’t exclude lust. In fact, lust can lead to love. However, real love, not based on idealization or projection, requires time to get to know each other.

Love is an intense feeling of affection and care towards another person. It is a profound and caring attraction. On the other hand, lust is a strong desire of a sexual nature.

Join me tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah” via “Conversations Live“, as I explore this topic which often leave many perplexed and even bewildered. However, one should know the difference.

Are you in love or in lust?
