Bishop Eddie Long Responds to Reports, That He’s Dying of a Terminal Illness

eddie-long-550x445Bishop Eddie Long and New Birth Missionary Baptist Church responded to rampant reports that he is hospitalized with a terminal illness.

Rumor has it that Long is on his death bed at an undisclosed Atlanta hospital.

The mega church released a statement to the media on Tuesday, hours after supporters called on church members to pray for Long.

The statement reads:

“I am recovering from a health challenge that I trust God to deliver me from. It is unrelated to the eating for life diet consisting of mostly raw vegetables that I am continuing, as part of a holistic approach to good health”.

At this time my family and I are requesting that you respect our privacy.

I truly appreciate your prayers and support for me, my loved ones and my beloved New Birth Church Family.”

Rumors began swirling when the embattled preacher uploaded a video to his Facebook page that revealed his shocking weight loss.

In the video posted on Aug. 12, the charismatic preacher, who once tipped the scales at a robust 239 pounds, explained that he was taking medicine to help boost his immune system.

“I’m on the medicine that God gave you to feed your immune system to build you up,” he said. “You know what, if you really want to move through this world and have influence you gotta be spiritual and you have to walk by His commandments and you have to be healthy.”

He also said he was avoiding a “slave diet” of fast food.

Johnny Gill Remains “hush-hush” About His Sexuality

johnny_gill_540x735

R&B crooner Johnny Gill was featured on last night’s edition of TV One’s acclaimed music series ‘Unsung‘. One of the subjects that viewers tuned in to hear Gill discuss were the rampant bisexual rumors that have dogged him over the years.

Gill, 46, who dated R&B singer Stacey Lattisaw when he was 15-years-old, seemed conflicted when talking about the persistent gay rumors.

On the one hand he says he has “compassion” for homosexuals, but on the other hand, he says, “it just doesn’t feel good.”

“If I could tell you why I sure would have by now … at this point in time I would have been able to cure that issue … to get rid of that issue,” he explained.

“I took (sic) for the life of me never, never understood where it came from, why it lasted as it’s lasted.”

He continued sounding confused:

“I mean, you gotta remember, before there was Twitter, and Facebook, and all this other stuff, you know there was just the rag magazines. Whatever they say it was like that was the truth. People believe whatever it was,” he said. “But I don’t feel as bad anymore, because when I go on the Internet everybody’s gay … I’ve just always been a very private person.”

Let me make sure we are clear on something. Whether it’s being called gay, accused of being gay, accused of a thief, accused of being anything or somebody’s lying [about] you and saying something about you that’s not true, it just doesn’t feel good … I have such compassion for gay people now more than ever. Just simply because in some odd way I’ve been able to walk in their shoes or to see … how they feel and how people treat them and deal with them because of their sexuality.”

Gill, who always been considered a ladies man around the industry, said the rumors were so troubling to him that he questioned whether his own girlfriend of 5 years doubted his sexual identity.

I’m going to tell you guys something off the record that I know my girlfriend probably won’t be happy with me for saying this, to talk about this. But I’m going to say it. When we first got together – we’ve been together for five years – there was so much stuff floating around why are you dating this guy, this guy, he’s gay, blah, blah, blah, Eddie Murphy. All this stuff is going on and I’m like, ‘Do you believe it?’ She says, ‘No, I just hear everybody just keeps saying,’ and I said, ‘Let me tell you something. Here’s what we are going to do…’ Woke up, we got the yellow pages, and you know, I mean, that was five years ago … So, we called this guy, he brought out his machine, strapped down to take a lie detector test. I wrote down questions, I made her write down questions … When the guy called back with the results and we both laying there in the bed. Tears came down … I would never want to lay next to someone that might even remotely have any doubt or question of who I am.”

Fantasia’s baby daddy admits cheating on his wife

Fantasia Barrino’s estranged baby father, Antwaun Cook, has apparently gone back to his wife again. Gossip website RadarOnline.com reports that Cook signed an affidavit admitting he slept with the singer while he was still married to his wife.

By admitted he committed adultery, Antwaun paves the way for his wife, Paula Cook, to sue Barrino for “alienation of affection” under North Carolina law. Barrino and Cook have a toddler son together. They reportedly split up last year amidst allegations of Cook cheating, according to gossip mongers.

In August 2010, Paula Cook filed court documents claiming her husband began a “covert adulterous affair” with Fantasia in August 2009. When Cook told Fantasia he was going back to his wife, the 28-year-old ‘American Idol’ winner swallowed an overdose of Aspirin and crawled into a closet inside her North Carolina mansion.

The distraught singer was briefly hospitalized and treated for internal bleeding and depression.

In court documents, Fanstasia stated that Antwaun Cook had split from his wife by the time they started sleeping together, but new court documents obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com prove otherwise.

From Radar Online:

Given Antwaun’s admission of adultery, if his estranged wife desired to do so she would now legally sue Fantasia for Alienation of Affection, which is a North Carolina law in which one can sue the third-party who “alienates” the affections of one spouse from the other spouse.

Just last year an unnamed jilted wife was awarded a $30 million “bench verdict” and the year before a $5.9 million case was awarded to the innocent spouse.

Fantasia has developed a reputation for being a home wrecker. The part-time actress was involved in a longterm relationship with Atlanta rapper Young Dro, who broke up with his longtime girlfriend to date Fantasia. Dro has since gone back to his girlfriend.

Bobby Brown Said: “Don’t Blame me for Whitney’s death!”

Bobby Brown, 43, sat down with Matt Lauer of the “Today show” in his first exclusive interview since his ex-wife, Whitney Houston died. Brown told host Matt Lauer that he had been off drugs for seven years and was hurt to hear that Houston had been using cocaine. And of course we all know, this was Bobby’s chance to clear the air, since the world blames him for getting Whitney hooked on drugs.

“I’m not the one that got Whitney hooked on drugs, at all,” Brown said in an interview to be aired this week on the Today show and “I’m not the reason she’s gone,” he added.

“I was hurt … because, you know, me being off of narcotics for the last seven years – I felt that she was, you know, I didn’t know she was struggling with it still. But at the same time, you know – listen, it’s a hard fight,” he said.

Brown said drugs were part of Houston’s life before he met her in 1991. “I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn’t the one that got Whitney on drugs at all,” he said.

“So this was a part of her life before you and she got together?” Lauer asked.

Way, way before. Yeah … It’s just, it’s just unexplainable – how one could, you know, (say that I) got her addicted to drugs. I’m not the reason she’s gone,” Brown replied.

Bobby spoke about the last time he saw Whitney, which was a week before she died, they were at a restaurant having dinner with their daughter, Bobby Kristina.

Brown said Houston had a “glow about her” “She just looked like she was in a good place,” he said.

The interview will air Wednesday and Thursday on the “Today show” on NBC.

Bobbi Kristina and Whitney’s ‘adopted Son’ are Dating and Living Together

When news of Whitney Houston’s tragic death was announced on Feb. 11, everyone’s thoughts were with her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, 19. Few people knew she had a so-called “adopted son,” named Nick Gordon. Later we learned that Whitney took Nick in when he was 11-years-old, but she never formally adopted him.

Now we find out that sometime after Nick moved into Whitney’s home, he started getting real intimate with her daughter. Bobbi K. and since Whitney’s death, Bobbi K. and Nick were spotted kissing and holding hands together last Friday outside of a Target store in Johns Creek, Georgia, according to Hollywoodlife.com.

And last night, Nick updated his Twitter page to let everyone know: “Yea we got a little closer and what!!!” He also posted a new pic of himself and Bobbi Kristina together. This is the same dude who was reportedly being evicted from Whitney’s home. I guess that’s not happening now.

After Whitney passed away, a loyal reader emailed me photos of Nick Gordon taken from Bobbi K.’s Twitter account.

Whitney never spoke of having an adopted son, and him (Nick) and Bobbi K. look nothing like they are just siblings to me.
