Why does sex sell? Is the question on my mind and tonight’s conversation. These days everyone is looking for attention (good or bad). You have women online naked through social media, Jennifer Lopez posing nude to promote her booty body butter and now Lizzo has joined the ranks with her assless leggings. All with a common goal in mind, ‘attention to sell’. After all, if you’re flaunting it, it’s for sale.

What kind of example does this set for women? Young women especially.

When I was growing up Diana Ross was my idol. Diana was admired for her fashion sense and onstage wardrobe in particularly after the movie Mahogany was released in 1975. Ross even launched a makeup line from the movie with Revlon entitled “Mahogany” after the movie. I think every woman in black America was wearing that line and Diana promoted it with her clothes on.

My point….you can still have class without promoting YOUR ASS!!!

  11. Tracy great show. I hung on your every word. I have a cousin who dresses half naked for attention. too each its own it right but I still shared the shows link with her.

  16. Appreciated the commentary Tracy. So right about half naked can equal violating a woman. as in rape!! women should be mindful of the messages they send.
