Bill Cosby Arrives at Courthouse for Sentencing Hearing; Could Face Life in Prison

Bill Cosby arrived at the Montgomery County Courthouse on Monday for a two day sentencing hearing that will decide whether he goes home on probation or spends the rest of his life in prison.

The 81-year-old comedian appeared stoic as he entered the courthouse in Norristown surrounded by police officers.

Cosby was convicted of drugging and indecently assaulting Andrea Constand in his home in 2004. More than 60 women have accused Cosby of drugging assaulting them over 4 decades.

The first day of the sentencing hearing will focus on whether Cosby should be classified as a violent sex offender. He will be sentenced on the second day of the hearing.

Constand (the initial accuser) tweeted a Bible verse ahead of the hearing:

“Be wrathful, but do not sin; do not let the sun set while you are still angry; do not give the Devil an opportunity.”

Cosby’s wife Camille Cosby remains supportive of him. In an earlier statement she accused the judge of being biased against her husband.

“Bill Cosby was not afforded an impartial judge and he did not receive a fair trial,” she said. “Instead, my husband was forced to go to trial before a judge, Steven T. O’Neill, who had a bitter, longstanding feud with one of the key witnesses in the case, Bruce Castor.”

  1. His image, reputation, and legacy are permanently ruined, why send him to jail? At 81, with the inability to hold his head high, isn’t the mission accomplished?

  2. So far he’s the only one to pay the price. What happened to Spacey’s case, Weinstein won’t see jail time, why hasn’t Bill Clinton been sued. The pedos are not being prosecuted. Is Bill Cosby the sacrificial lamb from the rich and famous.

  3. I absolutely hate that this sentencing is going to take 2 days. You don’t need 2 days to sentence someone….but they are giving 40 women(?) an impact statement?…..this is BS.

  4. I’m sad he’s going down he was Black America’s father-figure. Also what about all of his show biz buddies including the late Hugh Hefner? Birds of a feather freak females together.

  5. Unfortunately, Bill Cosby convicted himself with that deposition he gave where he admitted drugging women. I began to have my doubts about him when Beverly Johnson came out as a victim. I believe Bill Cosby started drugging and taking advantage of women in the 1960s when he could get away with it. Let’s remember that all this came to a head when another black comedian put it in his stand up comedy show. Coincidence. I think not.
