Some people are all for the legalization of marijuana for medicinal purposes, while others just want the freedom of getting high in public. Marijuana is legal in some states and offenders who were jailed at some point were exonerated due to this change in the law. But what will be the moral consequences be if marijuana becomes legal in every state?
Legalized marijuana or weed for recreational use is already existent in several states in the US, including Colorado and Washington, where voters passed ballot initiatives and may not have even realized it. As expected, weed is considered as a dangerous drug, the move has raised plenty of questions and has become a hot topic in debates.
However the question is still debated……is this a wise or wrong move?
Tune into “Conversations Of A Sistah” at 6:30 p.m. EST. on blog talk radio for Tracy L. Bell’s commentary on “The Pros & Cons” of legalizing marijuana.
We’re taking calls on this topic in the studio at 1-917-889-7872.
For medicinal purposes yes but not for the pleasure of it.

I’m on the fence about it. People blazing up anyway. It’s just that the gov found a way to tax it that’s why they wanna legalize it.

You legalize it and the world goes mad. With anything else people will be addicted. Some of us can’t practice restraints. I’m guessing folk will lose their jobs and some won’t even qualify for failing to pass a drug test. Please the consequences will be great.

I know Tracy is addressing this topic because it will be on the ballot in the upcoming gobernatural election. New Jersians will decide if it will be legalized.

Voters in this year’s New Jersey governor’s race are not just picking Chris Christie’s successor.
Their choice will dictate whether or not marijuana for recreational use will be legalized in New Jersey.
Electing Democrat Phil Murphy means New Jersey would soon join eight other states in legalizing marijuana for people 21 and older and creating what is predicted to be a multi-billion-dollar industry. He’s promised to sign a legalization bill into law within the first 100 days of his term. Democrats who control the state Legislature appear willing.

Twenty-nine states and the District of Columbia currently have laws broadly legalizing marijuana in some form.
Seven states and the District of Columbia have adopted the most expansive laws legalizing marijuana for recreational use. Most recently, California, Massachusetts, Maine and Nevada all passed measures in November legalizing recreational marijuana.
