After nearly nine years in prison, O.J. Simpson was granted his freedom today by four members of the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners and will leave prison on or after Oct. 1.
The Hall of Famer reacted emotionally and with a smile as each of the four delivered their votes on whether he should be freed after serving nearly nine years of a nine-to-33-year sentence for 12 convictions, including kidnapping and armed robbery, stemming from a 2007 sting operation in which he tried to recover sports memorabilia from two collectors.
Simpson said “Thank you” graciously as he stood to return to his cell.

Free like OJ all day lol 9 years was way to much time for the crime he committed. He beat the system the first time around but karma caught up with him. Hopefully prison changed him for the better.

The hypocrisy of the media and networks regarding OJ is shining brightly now. He’s important enough to make all these documentaries and TV movies about. Actors and Actresses that were irrelevant have been pushed to the forefront and have won awards in these same movies. Now they are crying foul when he is rewarded for good behavior while in prison. His skin looks radiant. He is naturally and truly a beautiful black man. A 70 year old man that looks like ÓJ has another marriage and late baby ahead of him. I hope he really knows how blessed he’s been to overcome systemic racism and prison twice. He’s blessed with a third life. He was HORRIBLE to Marguerite from the moment he started to get some acclaim. It was a very big deal because initially they were this beautiful, successful young black couple. In the late 60s, there were only a handful of folks who fit that description,so black people really looked up to them. And Marguerite was just a sweet, lovely, soft-spoken woman. The minute he started making money he couldn’t wait to start cheating on her with white women.
