BREAKING: Jury in Bill Cosby Trial Deadlocked

NORRISTOWN, PA – MAY 24: Bill Cosby departs the Montgomery County Courthouse after a preliminary hearing.

The jury in the Bill Cosby sexual assault case sent word to the judge that they are hopelessly deadlocked on day 4 of deliberations, meaning they can not unanimously reach a verdict on three counts. The judge ordered the jury to continue deliberations, saying it is too early to quit.

The panel of five women and seven men are sequestered at a Norristown, Pa. hotel, about 300 miles away from their homes in Allegheny County. The trial was moved from Allegheny County to Norristown because of concerns about pretrial publicity.

NORRISTOWN, PA – JUNE 6: Andrea Constand walks to the courtroom for the trial of actor Bill Cosby on sexual assault charges at the Montgomery County Courthouse on June 6, 2017 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Constand, a former Temple University employee, alleges that the entertainer drugged and molested her in 2004 at his home in suburban Philadelphia. The 79-year-old comedian faces 10 years in prison if he is convicted of plying Andrea Constandt with drugs and sexually assaulting her in 2004. The former Temple University women’s basketball coach is among 10 women who accuse the television mogul of rape.

In riveting testimony Constand claimed Cosby gave her three blue pills that made her feel dizzy. She said she passed out and when she awakened her clothes were in disarray.

But Cosby denied giving Constand a date rape drug. He said he only wanted to make her “feel comfortable” so he gave her Benadryl.

“I wanted her to be comfortable and relaxed and be able to go to sleep after our necking session,” Cosby said in an earlier deposition.

Cosby’s defense rested on Monday after calling only one witness to testify on Cosby’s behalf. The defense later claimed they had a witness who was not permitted to testify.

In a sign of confidence, Cosby shouted his Fat Albert phrase “Hey, hey, hey!” when departing the courthouse on Tuesday.

Cosby’s wife Camille Cosby accompanied her husband to court on Monday. She has remained loyal to the Cosby Show star throughout his legal ordeal.

In minor related news, the White House confirmed Cosby will not be stripped of his Presidential Medal of Freedom.

  1. If she went to his house and his Wife wasn’t there, she should have left immediately.
Don’t put yourself in a questionable position.

  2. I’m not surprised to hear the jury is deadlocked. Many people find these charges to be suspicious — especially since they are dug up from damn near 60 years ago…

  3. Palease!!!!
She couldn’t even get the dates right !!
It came out during the trail that the day she originally claimed he drugged her, her phone records show she made multiple calls to friends and to Cosby during the time frame she claims she was passed out!

  4. He may have done it but they don’t have enough concrete evidence to convict him of a crime.
I just don’t know how Camille Cosby could have put up with all of this. Then again, he may have drugged her too.

  5. I need the full story because it doesn’t make sense…What was she suppose to be doing with him in the first place? Further more, why would she take 3 pills from anyone???

  6. I’m so sick of this old queen. Put him in prison, let him go, or stick him in an old folk’s home. Anything but more stories about him.

  7. First off why did it take that long to report it? Why wasn’t it reported when it first happened? Secondly, why take or accept drugs from a stranger? I have never known benadryl to be a blue pill.

  9. No shock, many people are caught up in celebrity, especially black people. Many black people actually believe his former television character to be who he is and that is a mental illness in itself. The fact that he’s almost 80 plays a part.

I believe he’s guilty based on the fact that he admitted to one incident.I believe according to his own admission, that he’s been drugging and raping women for decades. He will probably get away with it in this life…..

  10. I believe Bill is guilty. Some of what has happened is true but because of his money and status he was able to skate for as long as he did.
