Mary J Blige Ordered to Pay Kendu Isaacs $30,000/Month

R&B singer Mary J Blige lost the latest round in her acrimonious divorce battle with estranged husband Kendu Isaacs. A Judge ordered the “Not Gon’ Lie” singer to pay Isaacs $30,000 a month in temporary spousal support.

The amount is a fraction of the $129,319 a month that Isaacs originally asked the judge to force Blige to pay. In court documents Blige accused her former manager of using her to support his parents, girlfriend, and his children from a previous relationship.

“I’m not responsible for supporting his parents and his children from another relationship, which he lists as ongoing monthly expenses,” Blige stated in her divorce petition.

But the judge bought Isaacs’ argument that he was entitled to the lavish lifestyle he had become accustomed to as the husband of an R&B star.

The judge also ordered Blige to pay spousal support retroactively, dating back to when she first filed for a divorce, and his legal fees for a total of $235,000.

In addition to the spousal support, Blige and Isaacs also owe the IRS millions in back taxes.

This might be a good time for Blige to file for bankruptcy to reorganize her finances.

  3. If he was her manager he should have his own money. I don’t get how rich people get to argue I am entitled to the lavish lifestyle I became accustomed to when regular folks would never be able to make the argument.

  5. I don’t feel sorry for Mary at all. This is what happens when you marry a man worth a lot less than you. She should have known better and was there ever a pre-nup??? I don’t get these chicks. No matter how much you think you love someone, you have to protect your money.

  6. Women in her position have to realize that most dudes will use you and spend your money on other women/hookers. The best thing is that she didn’t have any kids with this loser.

  7. I hope she overcomes this and learns a valuable lesson. Women do this all the time to men, I get it, but still, the person with the most money ends up being the fool. You have to know who you are getting yourself involved with. Most people these days are users, sometimes you have to learn how to say no in the very beginning, that goes for women AND men!

  10. Im sorry, but females want “equality” but only when it benefits them. Take the good with the bad. Prominent men PAY the price all the time in these cases and females applaud.
Kendu is totally justified in seeking the financial remuneration he is due!

  11. No able-bodied adult deserves to have their lifestyle maintained, man or woman, but I don’t feel for Mary either. Like it or not, this is what equality looks like.
