We’ll explore the “Casual Killing Act of blacks” on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

attachIs Justifiable Homicide the Modern Day “Casual Killing Of Slaves”?

When you think about Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant, Sean Bell, Philandro Decastro, Terrance Crutcher, Alton Sterling, Keith Lamont, Sandra Bland, Yvette Smith and so many other black men and women who were unjustifiably murdered under the guise of “justifiable homicide” by police, the numbers are alarming.

Unfortunately, not a year goes by without a news report of some young man or woman dying at the hands of police (or someone who acts as if they are the police). Usually, these cases are polarized by the factor of race.

Join me tonight at 6:30 p.m. EST on “Conversations Of A Sistah” with my special guest, community activist and New Era leader Keith Horton” (pictured left above), as we explore the “Casual Killing Act of blacks” then and now.

The “Conversation link” in this post make it possible to access the show.

Hope you’ll join us on the air!

      1. MornTing all.
Tracy this topic is somewhat the same only a different approach. I guess we can explore the killing of black folks from every angle.
Anyway I’ll be listening. In the meantime I’m going to read up about this “New Era” especially since I ain’t NEVA heard of them.

      4. Hello and Good Afternoon everyone.
I see and try and read most of your comments before the show each Wednesday definitely afterwards, once I take it down at night. I often read your comments after certain stories I write about as well.

“Thank you” for those of you who took the time out to comment. You all are the best!

@Al, it’s hard to give more of me because right now, I’m wearing several hats but I’m trying.
@Bobby, I pop in often just don’t always engage I’m sorry.
@Starr, you are correct this is somewhat a similar conversation on the same issue because unfortunately they are very relevant to what’s happening in our society today.

I “thank” you all for the kind words and funny greetings. Some of you are a trip!! I just wish you all would be as bold and call into the show when lines are open on certain topics, instead of just leaving all of your “conversation” here on the blog, so consider that? O_o Hm.

Carry on and I hope to see you all on the air!

        🙂

Oh Really we’re NOT? you think we’re not because they’ve given us their jobs, their educational system so we can think we are getting ahead and successful when in reality, it’s all a delusion hunty. some of us might have the nice cars, good paying jobs and pulling up to our nice houses but when they feel it’s JUSTIFIED to still kill us like rabbit dogs in the street, guess what sweetie? They still consider you a slave, just a pepped up slick version of modern day lynching’s boo……please read up on that act cause it’s deep.

  2. I’m noticing that as many issues plague the black communities in our society today, Tracy you are definitely keeping a conscious look at our realities and making the conscious conversations happen. That’s wassup and the reason I’ll follow you to the hills if I have too. Much Love and RESPECT

  3. WoW! didn’t realize this but it does make sense that this law is apparently still on the books because there is NO JUSTIFICATION for killing us. 😡 seriously. and why are cops never held accountable for killings of our peoples.

  4. interesting show, interesting topic. guest sounded very young. his organization is doing brave thing but that casual killing law? yeah Tracy you are going to need to continue this conversation, it just wasn’t enough.

    1. he said there were so many other laws that made it lawful to kill slaves. it’s like they created new laws to justify the killings as they went along.

just like today, they’ve just modernized it. who knew about the “Stand your ground law?” until George “fat ass” Zimmerman killed young Trayvon Martin. Same instance. good show
