Is Democracy Dead in 2016? Tonight on Conversations Of A Sistah”

CdiYzRRXEAEJiReSince the United States became an independent nation, we’ve had political parties and processes for electing out politicians. When electing a president, we hold primaries with delegates and superdelegates, so this is nothing new. But unfortunately, we have come to a crossroads in this country where it’s become painfully obvious that the system is no longer working, and in fact, we no longer even have a democracy with both sides shamelessly rigging the system for their establishment candidates.

With the Presidential primaries being held from state to state are you really exercising your right to vote? Or do you believe Democracy in this country is dead?

Join me tonight at 6:30 p.m. on “Conversations Of A Sistah” via Blog Talk Radio, on my topic “Is Democracy Dead in 2016?”

  2. Honestly I didn’t vote in our primary, I figured what’s the use. I’ll do the general when it narrows down to 2 candidates. 🙂 #don’tjudgeme

      1. The problem is twofold. Most of our country is NOT intelligent. Trump is saavy enough to have SOME intelligent people on his side who then appeal to the masses of fools supporting him.

      2. Technically, I believe the GOP at the convention can choose someone else. Typically the delegates and super delegates vote according to the popular vote (the people), but there is always the chance that the delegates can vote differently. There would have to be another Republican to be that person. We will see this summer. I will have lots of butter with my popcorn. There will be some angry white people.

      3. Val,
If the gets his 1237 delegates before the convention he cant be stopped. If he was short of that number, they have some procedure where the delegates he has wouldnt be bound to him, and they could switch to somebody else.

Clearly that’s not gonna happen now.

      5. They can always change the rules regardless.
The GOP Establishment along with Prebuis are playing possum as we say in the South.

They are going to fight Trump tooth and nail to keep him from being the GOP nominee or they will run a third party candidate in the fall.
