Scared NYPD Cops Ignoring Minor Crimes in Black Neighborhoods

Frightened New York Police Dept. (NYPD) cops are turning a blind eye to minor crimes committed in black neighborhoods.

The shook cops are fearful that they may be the next target of gunmen who believe they are avenging the deaths of unarmed black men.

An NYPD supervisor told The NY Post his cops are making fewer arrests as a result.

Police all over the country are nervous and jittery after 2 NYPD officers were shot and killed by Ismaaiyl Brinsley while they sat in their patrol car last week. Brinsley, who suffered from an undiagnosed mental disorder, then shot and killed himself.

“My guys are writing almost no summonses, and probably only making arrests when they have to — like when a store catches a shoplifter,” said the unnamed supervisor.

“I’m not writing any summonses. Do you think I’m going to stand there so someone can shoot me or hit me in the head with an ax?” a cop said Sunday.

“I’m concerned about my safety,” the cop added. “I want to go to home to my wife and kids.”

The police assassinations came 2 days after NYPD cops wore “I Can Breathe” t-shirts, mocking Eric Garner supporters who adopted his last words — “I can’t breathe” — as their rallying cry.

  10. NYPD needs a complete over haul.
    Turning their backs on their mayor says more about the department, their leaders and the officers than anything. They maybe upset with them but the show of disrespect shows the world that there is a real problem in that department.

        They feel like he didn’t have their back after the Garner verdict.
        That by him saying what he said, with the Garner family at the church that it was a open invitation to harass, abuse and or murder cops etc. etc. He ended stop and frisk, took away petty weed charges, they are just mad that he want’s them to be more accountable for their actions and do good police work.

        There are a lot of theories about these killing because there are too many loopholes. I think they died but I also believe homeboy was sent to kill them so that the NYPD can have an excuse to display the muscle theyve been wanting to. With Guliani they could kill with little recourse, Bloomberg allowed them unlimited power but they had to be more discreet. After new mayor make it be known that he was not having none of that so they went beserk.

  18. these cops are FOS. The man who murdered those cops was a complete mental case, he would have did that to whomever he felt like doing it to regardless of current events. He just needed a reason to carry out his deed. And these corrupt azz cops aren’t slick, they’re ignoring stuff and if it becomes a big problem they’ll use being scared as an excuse…FOH!

  24. NYC has the best unions in the country period, you cannot touch them it is why the civil workers in NY run things and majority of the time can command whatever they want.

    Anywho I can sympathize with the officers in terms of payment they do not make jack, most join because of the pension benefits

  26. Police work has been the bastion of employment for the ignorant white male for DECADES. Absolutely no educational requirements, 500 hours of “training” (three time less than a beautician) and no oversight once hired.

    It was bound to be rife with buffoons and bigots!
