Internationally known motivational speaker Myles Munroe and his family are feared dead, as it is being reported that his private plane crashed trying to land at the Grand Bahamas International airport Sunday night in the Bahamas.

Nine passengers were aboard the Learjet when it crashed around 5 p.m. local time after departing Lynden Pindling International airport in the Bahamas capital of Nassau. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, though there had been heavy rain across the region.

Munroe, a 60-year-old Bahamas native, is the published author of more than 100 spiritual and inspirational works and was traveling to lead his Global Leadership Forum. He is also a government and business consultant to Fortune 500 businesses, according to a biography on the Ministries website.

The Global Leadership Forum will continue as scheduled, according to a statement released by Munroe’s Facebook page. “This is what Dr. Munroe would have wanted. Please keep this family and the ministry in prayers,” a spokesperson wrote.

The names of the victims and the cause of the crash were not immediately known.

  1. This story is all over the internet. Folk don’t/won’t believe it’s true until the story is actually confirmed. 😥 sad either way.

They don’t see him at this summit and it was his own private plane so it should be common sense/knowledge at this point O_o that the man is dead….no?

  2. The real question here is why do preachers have private Lear jets, fancy homes and clothes while their congregation lives in poverty?? The church has become a VERY LUCRATIVE BUSINESS I see.

Cameo so where should the money come from to pay a pastor’s salary? Do you know anything about a church’s order of business?

Look at Joel Olsten, Joyce Myers, Creflo Dollar and the Copelands. They all need to take heed.

Unfortunately he believed in Dominion Theology Heresy and charged over 100 dollars to hear him speak. I hope he repented before he met the Lord.

Dr. Monroe died serving the LORD. He is now resting in the bosom of the LORD. It is a call for us to always examine our own lives to see that we are always in the faith. How you die does not determine if you were ‘effectively called’ or not. It is only the Almighty GOD who giveth and taketh and no mortal man has the right to question how HE takes HIS own.

God did NOT kill these people. He doesn’t get Glory to see people killed. We need to understand that bad things happen to people who are NOT under HIS hedge of protection. The world we are living in is evil and under a curse because of all the abominable acts people are committing everyday so it has been given over to the devil. So our only hope of survival is to be submitted to the covering and protection of The Must High God. And to do that we must believe. Half the world have turned their backs away from Him to serve strange gods or don’t even believe in him yet we want him to protect us from the curse we have placed on the land. I am not saying that this particular pastor is evil because I don’t know much about him, but there are FALSE preachers who or operating under satan and leading God’s people astray, they WILL have their reward. People should be careful not to blaspheme by saying God killed him. Never assume that just because someone stands on the pulpit they are doing God’s work. We living in the last days and there are false prophets amongst us

Unfortunately he was a wolf in sheeps clothing. The key is all these prosperity preachers are operating in their own names and NOT in the name of JESUS!!!!

      9. So it was God’s will that his luxurious private Lear Jet was used as the tool to end his opulent lifestyle funded by the gullible poor of his ‘congregation’.

      10. He was an ordinary man and worked hard for his wealth and used it to spread knowledge and the gospel to others. So unless you knew him personally or about his ministry…. shut it up!!!!!

  5. We really share the world with some cold hearts. I don’t care for people who use God as a platform for worldly riches. Yet I’ll never wish death on anyone. People need to chill with the disrespect.

Condolences to the surviving family is a decent response. The fate of the unrighteous will be handled and it’s not up to us to determine it. Nor is it our job to condemn.

The passengers were on their way to an event in Freeport being hosted by Munroe’s organization

  15. It’s funny, Myles Monroe was one of the first televangelists to put other TV preachers on blast for begging for money on TV. He felt that the church on TV was a service to those who needed Christ, and as such, we shouldn’t be taking money from those who we aren’t meant to serve.

The man made his own money, working hard, writing books, opening his own businesses and networks and never fleecing his own flock to get what he had. He spent millions of his own dollars to build things that helped the poor all around the world from The Bahamas to Peru.

And less than 24 hours after his death, he has a bunch of people who don’t even know him, calling him the exact things he stood against, all because he worked hard and earned the money for a jet, so he could get to places to do his work faster. SMH…some people are pathetic!
