There are lyrical artist popping up everywhere and rushing this generation by displaying their style and lyrical talents with a passion. Many emulate while adding their own flare to their music, while others are just gifted to flow.

Some artist handle the microphone and audience like pro’s and this is what I discovered when I heard and witnessed Val DeGrain, a young artist who graced the stage at an open MIC event, I attended a couple of months ago.

Val just released his new CD “2 cents” on April 20, 2014.

  37. The kid has potential he just needs to decide what he’s going to do with it. He seemed very disengaged and a little too laid back and non-chalant. It was as if Tra had to pull teeth to get a direct answer. She should ninvite him back in like another 10 years or so.
