“The Truth & The Myth About Praying For A Mate” Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Truth and myth

Sometimes I think women believe my book is a “How too” on walking down that aisle to the altar with the man of their dreams, when in all actuality most of my readers and followers already know, “Conversations Of A Sistah” is my autobiography based on a true story.

In recent events, conversations and correspondence I’ve received, a lot of women have posed the same question to me: What is the Truth And The Myth About Praying For A Mate? Some are curious to know, while others are not praying for anyone to begin with, they’re just rolling with the flow and allowing the events of their courtship’s to lead them. In my opinion that’s equivalent to living life wearing a blind fold.

aa-woman-prayingDon’t get me wrong, some individuals never pray to God period let alone for a mate and end up uniting with great partners, having successful marriages and fulfilling relationships. They allow their love and faith in each other to guide them. While those of us who are cautious, apprehensive or seeking surety based on bad past experiences turn to prayer in God for guidance.

This show is NOT another discussion about the book “Conversations Of A Sistah” but a break down and answers to the pressing question which seems to follow me What is the Truth And The Myth About Praying For A Mate?”

So tune in with expectation tonight, November 20th at 8:00 PM to “Conversations Of A Sistah” on “Conversations Live” as I answer such pressing questions regarding the sub title of my book.

You can access the show by clicking —-> HERE or any of the “Conversations links” in this post.

        Love -> A decision to commit oneself to another and to work through conflicts instead of giving up. Physical chemistry over a fairly long period of time.

Satan is very cunning to take into his hands the feelings of yours. Be careful my dear friends, because this world is full of lust. There are trillions of sex sights to attempting the human being to watch porn and to examine those. Love your life as it has been given by your holy father (or who the leader of the relevant religion you are believing).

        Love is unconditional, you give it without worry or regret, true love is pure love and no one or anything can change that , whether you win or lose , it is better to have loved than never loved at all.

        But we should know the truth and myth from both.

        I told him that I love him and his response was that he only LUST for me for his own sexual pleasure, you couldn’t imagine how much that hurt me when he said that to me. I had given him my heart and went out of my way to help him and his son who has been in and out of trouble since we met.

        I read Tracy’s book and didn’t apply it to my issue because I guess I’ve been in denial to an extent, I also thought Tracy’s story didn’t apply to me. But now I see how a man can hurt you if it’s not of God but I love him Now what do I do?? I can’t stop thinking about him, he is not open with me about his feelings at all. I am very confussed. I have never had a man do this to me before and it hurts like HELL!

        =====
        I don’t know how we got Truth and Myth vs. Love and Lust but LUST is a false dichotomy — most loving relationships have intense periods of lust near the beginning. Impugning lust in defense of some kind of “pure love” is absurd — with a sharing desire for each other, people grow closer, which is the foundation of love and That’s the Truth!.
