It is always best to remain humble and silent in any given high-profile relationship, especially when that relationship is very public and a tad-bit scandalous. For some reason Gabrielle Union hasn’t gotten that memo yet.
In the December issue of Essence magazine the Mary Jane actress states in a cryptic statement:
“There’s this intense desire for us all to be chosen by a man, or a job, or chosen for fame, whatever. But when you’re in the public eye and you’re not chosen, the rejection feels public. So to cover the wound, you attack the person who is chosen.” –
But what good is it to be chosen by a man who’s ultimately choosing other women behind your back? Is Gabrielle Union delusional or blindingly refusing to accept the truth for what it is? Either way, she’s sounding a bit cocky in her relationship with Miami Heat baller, Dwayne Wade, who recently gifted her with an NBA championship ring for her birthday.
As for her character Mary Jane, she states: “It would be easy to label Mary Jane a freak…but enjoying sex doesn’t make you a ho,”
No …but having sex with a smorgasbord of multiple men does!

No, sleeping with a lot of different people makes you a hoe. And there is nothing empowering about that. An empowered woman with any self respect would not sleep with variety of men (even while protected) because it feels good. She would find a man who is worth her body and give it to him.

This is why I cancelled my subscription with Essence for a few reasons. this chick sleeping with a man and destroying a marriage makes her feel proud and empowered, whatever. Get your own man.
