After deliberating for 2 days, an all-white, all female Florida jury found George Zimmerman not guilty on all counts in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman, 29, breathed a sigh of relief as the verdict was read in a Florida courtroom on Saturday.
The self-appointed neighborhood watchman claimed self-defense when he shot the unarmed teen to death in February 2012 in a gated Sanford, Florida subdivision. Martin was returning to his father’s friend’s home after a trip to a convenience store to buy a pack of Skittles for his stepbrother and a beverage for himself.
A White House official tells CNN President Obama will not issue a statement on the Zimmerman not guilty verdict.

Listen people, the prosecution wasn’t fighting for justice, they were just trying to save face in the wake of what happened. They botched the case and only called what 3 witnesses and one of them was so fucked up, it was hard to believe he was a professional. The Martin’s lawyer should have intervened.
