Self-appointed relationship guru Steve Harvey’s skyrocketed success behind his “Think Like a Man” franchise, which landed him a best-selling novel, a movie box office hit and in addition; a daytime talk show. Steve Harvey has done an excellent job at convincing women that they are in a dire state of affairs concerning black men and relationships.

Well…I never brought into Steve Harvey’s hype; didn’t buy his book and had absolutely no desire to see the movie generated from the best-selling book. I recognized the twice divorced comedian as an opportunist. Touting the black male crisis as the source of all relationship woes, Harvey was in my opinion; giving black women an emotional crutch that effectively allows them to become devoid of any accountability for their own failed relationships.

But Oh NO!!! I’ve never gone with every wind of doctrine based upon self-appointed opinions. I’d rather stand with a biblical principle of truth, concerning relationships between man and woman.

De Lacy Davis, (pictured right above), our featured guest this Thursday, September 27th on “Conversations Of A Sistah” will differentiate Harvey’s craze of “Think Like A Man” based upon real principle.

“Personally, I don’t know too many men who’d want to date a woman who thinks like a man” De Lacy said in our brief phone conversation concerning the subject.

Davis, of De Lacy Davis Consultants, LLC; is a powerful force to be reckoned with, overcoming trials; yet triumphed in the integrity, experiences and challenges of what he holds to be true. I can tell you that the book is Tracy’s TRUE story about her experiences as a result of praying for her mate. in the process she touches on many subjects in a series of letters with a GF. So YES that’s the basis of her new online radio show bcuz that’s excatly what she’s going to do.   76. To the listeners of Conversations of a Sistah! I am honored to have been a guest on Tracy’s show. I have the utmost respect for Tracy and her work. To the brothers and sisters here, I am humbled and honored as I read your comments, with laughter, joy, inspiration and the knowledge that we can have fun while we do the work. Yes, I am married, approaching my two year anniversary. I have one birth daughter, 3 adopted daughters and an adopted son. I met them individual while working as a police officer. All of them are between the ages of 21-29. I was fortunate to retire after 20 years of service as a police officer. Most recently, I completed 5 years as a charter school principal and now I am consulting and lecturing. I am excited about the energy here on Tracy’s blog. I will continue to work on the relationship forum and definitely will make sure that Tracy is a part of the work with me. For the folks who have said that “He is too good to be true,” I am certainly no angel. I, like many of us have had my ups and downs along the way. What I think is important is that I learned from my mistakes as a child, teenager and young man in my early 20’s. By 25, I was fortunate to have Elders, mentors, parents, neighbors, friends and strangers who helped to keep me on a healthy path toward African manhood which is very different from Afropeanism, Negroness and Confused Negroe Syndrome (CNS). I work daily to fight the slave in me, while others give in to the temptation to be, act and experience slavery all over again. As a father to many in the village, I refrain from any activity that may bring shame on my family, friends, children or neighbors. This alone is a full time job.
