Jesus take the wheel…NYC to distribute ‘morning after’ pill in 13 schools!

The New York City Department of Education is distributing the “morning after pill”, which is the “plan b” emergency contraception pill. The pill will be available to girls as young as 14 years old without parental consent.

Parents have been notified about the CATCH pilot program and how their daughters can opt out of it.

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn says she supports the program because high school students are sexually active and getting pregnant.

The city says about 7,000 girls get pregnant by the time they reach the age of 17. It says more than half choose to get an abortion.

NYC schools already distribute free condoms to students.

This is what happens when parents are not teaching their children moral standards at home, you have the school’s administration and the school system dictating lifestyle choices for them.

  3. distributing pills shouldn’t be their business their suppose to educate students and look out for the benefit of its children not control their sexual urges. that should begin at home. that the parents job not the DOE in NYC.

  5. Tracy just talked about ABSTINENCE and her show last week and this week NYC giving birth control to young girls. SMH..with so many STD’s out here. ABSTINENCE is the only thing to save you from the drama.

  18. Parents control your chirrens. teach your young girls TO KEEP THEM LEGS CLOSED AND TEACH YOUR YOUNG MEN TO KEEP THEM SNAKES IN THEY PANTS it will save they asses a world of trouble in the long run.

  20. Charity and moral standards should begin in the home this way the school can’t dictate to you what they’re going to do. I wish a school would offer my daughter some plan B birth control pill I’d sue their azzes.

  25. to me it’s like they encouraging kids to act w/o parents knowing. spose that young girl get into a situation and need her mother? then what? the school is gonna keep that confidential too? this is not a good look girls going on birth control and their parent/s not knowin. all kinds a wrong imo.

  31. Times have truly changed. I wished they would have given us birth control pills when i was 14 and in school, my mama woulda blew that damn spot up!!!!
