T.D Jakes’ Daughter, Sarah Henson Ending 4 Year Marriage

The youngest daughter of mega church Pastor T.D. Jakes is divorcing her husband, former NFL football player Robert Henson after just 4 years of marriage. Sarah married Robert when she was only 19 years old. This was a really quick marriage. I remember their elaborate ceremony posted in “Jet magazine” back in 2008. Here we are, four-year later and they’re divorcing.

Henson (Jakes daughter), released the following statement regarding her divorce:

I have built my ministry and identity around being the best wife and a mother I can be. For quite sometime I have tried to steer through some serious troubles at home and as much as I wanted my marriage to last, it cannot.
 
After professional counseling, and prayerful consideration I have decided to end my four-year marriage. There are biblical grounds supporting this decision and I have attempted every other recourse but after multiple infractions over the course of the union, and for my personal safety and that of my children, I have come to this painful decision.
 
Now that it is made, I would ask for privacy while I navigate through this difficult season in my life so that I may now concentrate on being the best parent for my children possible.

      2. The daughter if I’m not mistaken already had a child at 14 and was going to TCU when she got knocked up and married ole boy…you know these megachurches it’s all about appearances.

  8. And let her lead a life of a fairy tale and end up a spinster. If my daughter walked in and told me she was marrying a professional athlete I would do the Kris Jenner and make sure if it didn’t work out she would be well compensated for her wasted time. He is a professional athlete and college graduated.

  29. I really hate to hear this….it is always sad when a marriage is broken especially when children are involved. This has nothing to do with who her father is or what his/her status is. She has to go home and make a life with that man, not her father or Potters House. I don’t know the cause but I pray that she will be ok and the children will be ok (mentally, that is).

  30. being a pk’s kid doesnt exempt you from reality. choices are important yes. but she still is young, i personally think she got married out of pressure to avoid the “knocked up at 14 and single mother tag”. sometimes the only person to fear is God. she should have just carried on and gotten a man in Gods long but sweet timing. i still think she is still young and has another shot at ironing out her stuff.       Seriously?? Sounds like daddy to busy hangin onto a prosperity gospel when he should be zoning in on morals, standards and keepin ya legs closed n taking care of home. Jakes is chasing the $$$ while his sons and daughters R runnin wild. Guess you see TD Jakes as this great man due to his proven success but a man’s greatest is not measured by his money and what he attracts, it’s measured by who that man can effect.

        This could happen to anyones kid. And TD Jakes’ is no exemption and you dont seem to understand that – no matter how perfect you are your child just aint.

        FYI watch that video on the both of them. TD Jakes will happily give up his entire congregation in the bleep of an eye for her. To him reputation means nothing.
