Dwayne Wade will release his new book: “Father First”

Two time NBA champ and Miami Heat star, Dwayne Wade shares his personal triumph and tribulations in his upcoming  memoir, A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball.

The father of two sons, Zaire & Zion, Wades book will be released on September 4, 2012 but it’s available for pre-order now at Amazon.

Although this book gives us insight into the mentors, coaches, and teammates who helped play a vital role in Dwayne Wade’s development as a star athlete, it also serves as a call-to-action to all parents to step up and be a part of their children’s lives.

Unbelieveable!!! I know some brothers who could use this book.

Say what you wanna but anybody can plant sperm and become a daddy but not every man can be a father.

      2. Anyone ever notice that Siousvaughn’s mother or other family mbrs have never spoken against D Wade? I aint saying he all the way right in this but the fact that her own mother or sisters has never publicly supported the accusations and slander makes me think he ain’t all the way wrong either… JMO.

Exactly!!!! @ Natasha, & we don’t know what he’s doing for them. People are on the outside lookin in but don’t know what really goes on. Not one family mbr has come out in support or being vocal of her bullshit!!!! Makes ya wonder don’t it?

  2. I think DWade is setting a great example to these fathers who are not in their kids lives and think child support is enough! I hope they support his book to hear what he has to add.

  7. Kudos to DWade. there are a million books on motherhood so I see nothing wrong with him writing his. Society are quick to down and dog BLACK absentee fathers so it’s nice to see a different aspect.

  8. I’ll pass cause he didn’t have to fight for a damn thing. He has the power and the resources and that’s the only reason WHY he was granted primary custody because he is in fact Dwayne Wade. He better know and understand that all things are in divine order and no money or power can change that.

Just because his ex-wife and her family helped him didn’t guarantee he’d be with her for life. they are no longer 2gether so what is he suppose to do give them his blood, put them on his payroll. when people help you, God uses them to do just that but that doesn’t mean they should ride ya back for life or the entirety of your success. i mean really.

Good for Dwayne Wade, i pray he continue to rise above the negativity and provide his sons a happy home and positive surrounding.

And for those guys who try but can’t be with yours because of their triflin’ mommas using the child as a weapon or a pawn, do better next time.

  14. For all you CEO’ers posting about and encouraging Black men to take custody away from Black women here’s some food for thought:
Why not encourage Black men to marry our Black women and be fathers to their children, follow The Most High and restore our communities???

    Mm Hmmmmm…..thought so…….*sips tea*
