Siohvaughn Funches-Wade Arrested for abducting her own children…

Siohvaughn Wade, ex-wife of NBA baller Dwayne Wade, was charged with two counts of attempted child abduction, two counts of unlawful visitation interference and one count of resisting arrest, said a Cook County Sheriff’s spokesman Frank Bilecki on Tuesday.

Siohvaughn and Dwayne are divorced and Dwayne currently has full custody of he and Siohvaughn’s two boys, while Siohvaughn only has visitation. Siohvaughn lost full custody during divorce proceedings and Dwayne is now asking the judge in their case to suspend her visitation as well.

According to the filing, the two boys were to be picked up by Wade’s sister around noon Saturday so they could make a 3:05 p.m. flight from Chicago to Miami so they could be in South Florida for the entirety of Father’s Day.

Wade’s sister got no response at the home, and after “several hours” the sheriff’s office was called to send someone to the scene, according to the filing. It also said Funches-Wade attempted to leave the home without the children when one of the responding deputies tried taking her into custody.

The boys, at that time, were with another woman at the home who was identified as Nadgee Alarcon inside the home, according to the filing. Nadgee was also charged and arrested for interfering and aiding Siohvaughn’s attempt. Her charges are all misdemeanors.

This custody issue between Dwayne and Siohvaughn is a very serious situation, especially since Siohvaughn seems to be emotionally upset, distraught and bitter over their current situation. I hope the matters between she and Dwayne can be resolved amicably before she becomes detrimental to her boys and detrimental to herself, which can lead to some serious repercussions.

Wade’s issues with his ex-wife have been a topic of media scrutiny for some time now, as he recently finished writing a book primarily about fatherhood and the custody fight for his sons. It will be released on Sept. 4.

  8. The boys ended up flying to Miami on a charted jet to make it home in time for Father’s Day, and when they arrived the oldest boy told Dwyane their mother’s friend Nadgee hit him in the head.

    D Wade has since filed to strip Siohvaughn of all parental rights and a hearing has been set for June 26.

  20. I certainly do not agree or/condone DWayde’s thinking its logical that he’s requesting termination of visitation rights. Those boys need their mother, Im certain that this is the root of her new issue…Not seeing her kids daily. its sad and i do Feel terrible for Siovaughn, after everything d.wade and her have been through = she gets treated like this.

  24. It is quite unfortunate that the children have to go through this public drama with their parents. I am somewhat biased when it pertains to child custody issues. In most cases, it takes a whole lot for a judge to award custody of the children to the father instead of the mother. In Siohvaughn’s case, she continuously interfered with Wade’s visitation, failed to show up for divorce hearings, pulled the children out of school so he couldn’t pick them up and outright refused to comply with other orders issued by the court. On top of that, she fired approximately 9 attorneys in less than two years. I remember Wade’s attorney requested that a psychological evaluation be given to her because she was unstable. I’m not sure of the outcome, but maybe the findings helped the judge reach that conclusion to remove the children. Sometimes instability, anger and hatred lead the non custodial parent to take their frustrations out on the children. I just believe that it’s better safe than sorry.

    2. 2Thick4U: – I agree with you. I too find this public mockery of what’s going on between two adults and their children is shameful. However, when you are a ball playing millionaire and police report is made all anonymity goes out the window. As much as I like to side with her, it’s possible she IS NOT WELL. When you have two small children and you aren’t quite sure what the other parent will do, what are your options. Cross your fingers and hope for the best.

      A mother could feed her child out of dog food out of a garbage bin, and the judges, will say…She is trying give her the number to the food bank.

      The final step is get your attorney to ask for psy eval. To get to this place, other avenues have been exhauseted and the parent in question HAS more than likely CUT THE DAMN FOOL.

      The things that have happened will push the average chic over the edge, who is married to Rolo, who’s a mail man.

      Who knows that will push a sane person over the edge. You have your nail painting average looking husband to a C rated hollywood actress and now your kids.

      Tell me that won’t make you crazy.

    1. @Mrs.……Everything you are saying sounds logical, but when emotions are involved you and I both know that we don’t always behave in a logical fashion. I know of one time my ex-husband made me so angry about something with my child….that if I had a gun at that time I would have killed him. Of course I look back now and know it would have not been worth it, but my emotions were out of control. We are humans…not robots, and many times our emotions drive our actions.

  26. I hope she gets herself into therapy, not for Dwayne’s sake or for the court’s sake, but for her children and her own mental health. She seems so mentally and emotionally broken that she needs the help of a professional to get through this. If she ever hopes to regain custody of her kids she needs to get herself together. Forget about Gabby and Dwayne, that part is over, it’s time to focus on the kids and yourself.

  28. I have always felt sorry for Siovaughn, her family took Dwayne in when he was homeless and his momma out there smoking crack. Then as soon as he got that championship ring he dropped her and is using his money and influence to drive her over the edge.   32. Sorry, no matter what, if they had an agreement she should have stuck to it. There’s too many situations where parents forcefully AND unlawfully keep their kids like this, and then next time they have the children they end up dead or missing. Her mind isn’t right so I hope she gets the help she needs. It was Father’s Day and if they had an agreement then then he deserved to see his children.

  33. I will not throw D wade under the bus. Just because his ex did xyz back in the day doesn’t mean she gets a free pass forever, she can be wrong. I believe kids need both parents and I wish this could be handled privately. I also think even if she loses her rights legally D Wade will still let her see the kids.
