Former High School Star Deserves A Shot at NFL Future…

Pictured above is Brian Banks and he’s crying as his kidnap and rape conviction is dismissed yesterday in a Long Beach, California courtroom.

Brian’s story started ten years ago, he was a high school football star in Long Beach, Calif., heading for a full scholarship at powerhouse University of Southern California when he was falsely accused of rape and kidnap. The accusations ruined all of Brian’s potential NFL dreams.

But after spending ten years in a California prison, Brian’s accuser “friended him on Facebook” with a very strange request to let “bygones be bygones”. So with the help of a private investigator, Brian’s accuser was recorded admitting she made the whole (rape and kidnapping) thing up and was reluctant to come forward because of a 1.5 million dollar settlement she had reached with the school district.

But with the help of the Innocence Project, Banks used the evidence to be exonerated and as of yesterday (Thursday May 24, 2012) a prosecutor moved to have the case and his charges dismissed.

Having lost 10 years of life that Brian can’t possibly get back, he’s hoping now for an NFL career and damn well deserve it.

But what do you think should happen to Brian Bank’s accuser? A women who so conveniently lied and deterred his life and dreams of a promising NFL career. A woman who so nonchalantly “befriended Brian on Facebook” as if he hadn’t suffered and lived ten years behind bars because of her LIE!!!!!

I hope and pray charges are brought against her, and she is made to pay back every penny she was awarded for lying on an innocent young man.

    1. His accuser: LOCK THAT BITCH UP!!!!!
      **********
I was thinking the same thing. Not only did she mess up someone’s life, she has made it even harder for actual rape victims. She is a true loser and deserves to be put in jail.

  4. I’m glad he’s cleared and all but WTF he do to “the accuser” to have her LIE on him like she did. “rape and kidnap” charges are a serious offense, and hos the hell was he convicted without any evidence of a crime? so many unanswered questions.

if he’s not blessed with an NFL contract he’ll be P.A.I.D. either way with the lawsuits he can file against that lying accuuser, the state and the school’s district!!!!
    so fucked up!

IMO she should face charges and have to pay back every red cent she was awarded for LYING on this innocent young man. I hope he gets paid one way or another. But I hop he get a FAT NFL contract too.

Here’s the problem with that, he will not collect one dime – because he was never fully prosecuted and wrongly convicted – he took a PLEA DEAL voluntarily…not the same as being wrongly convicted. He has (unfortunately) two sets of bad legal counsel – the first one who told him to take the deal in the first place and the second one who thinks he is going to get some money from the state – ain’t gonna happen.

There have been a rash of innocent men and women who have been wrongly imprisoned and now are seeking retribution due to wrongful imprisonment.

      It’s a damn shame.

    3. Adam,
You may be right about him accepting the plea deal but I’m happy to hear that a black man has been proven 100% innocent due to the deceitfulness of a trifling bitch.

Let’s hope and pray that he will be well compensated.

Adam, So I guess if they tried him as an adult and wrongly convicted, there is no loop-hole to get the money that he is entitled to? Yeah ok…This is a delicate matter were he should have some good lawyer who can get him the money. He wasn’t able to get a job easily due to a record that he didn’t deserve. So I believe he will be fianacially compensated because “a good lawyer will jump through” the difficult loop holes of the law.

He’s a great man… If I was him that chick would have got cut and left somewhere. How dare she! And California better give him his money, he’s not asking for nearly as much as he should get.

  6. USC should honor his scholarship so he can get an education. But, since he’s going to rightfully get a nice chunk of change from California, he may not need to worry about a college education.

But I’m glad to hear he is trying to move on, but that girl ruined his life and he deserves it back. I wouldn’t be surprised if her mother helped her come up with the scheme, because statements she keeps making sounds like she’s trying to cover up for someone.

I wish Mr Banks all of the luck in the world!

  22. Wow!!!! What a vicious thing to do to someone. Even if he doesn’t want to press charges, she should be held accountable. It takes a lot to be able to look beyond the fact that everything you were dreaming for was taken away because someone was evil enough to falsely accuse you of rape. He deserves every dime he asks for and so much more.

But, we know that is not the case for black people. Black people are always guilty until proven innocent.

I hope he gets everything that he is asking for down to the very last penny. I wish him the very best.

The police knew they didn’t do it, but hey they needed to close the case. So lie and put a innocent man in jail. “Yeah he did it, lock him up”. Smh wow.

She had better get all her affairs in order because she is looking forward to some serious time behind bars. The state most definitely should make an example of her.

I can’t understand how these women can just lie on men and mess up their entire lives, the justice system needs to learn that women can be devious, liars, and sneaky and to not just always assume that everything they say is true! And he shouldn’t have pled no contest if he was innocent… Black men need better attorneys…
