William Balfour, the man accused of killing Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew, was found guilty after only 3 days of deliberation.

While jurors were split 9-3 on a verdict just hours before it was announced, they said afterward that deliberations were cordial and some of them simply wanted more information before deciding on a conviction.

Balfour was convicted of first degree murder, home invasion and residential burglary.

William is convicted of killing Hudson’s family in a jealous rage after finding out his wife, Jennifer’s sister Julia Hudson, was seeing another man. I don’t hardly believe that!! I believe William Balfour is guilty of maybe being involved in the murders but he definitely didn’t act alone.

Balfour is facing life in prison.

      you can have your belief that he’s 100% guilty and deserves to spend the rest of his life in jail AND i can have my doubts about the validity of the evidence being brought against him which isn’t hardcore absolute proof BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT of his guilt in this crime.

    9. The evidence included cellphone records that put Balfour near the scene at the time of murders, gun residue found on Balfour’s clothing and on the steering wheel of his car, and the key to Jason Hudson’s SUV found on Balfour when he was arrested.

      HE IS GUILTY!!

    It was a hung jury, which means there was DOUBT, but the JUDGE told them to go in and come to a unamious decision, so some of them punked out.

  19. *He was on the west side all day babysitting yet his cell phoned pinged off towers close to the Hudson’s southside home.

    *His car was found at a school near the Hudson home.

    *He was arrested on the west side yes but Jason Hudson car was also found on the west side a mile or so from where Balfour was picked up.

    **plain and simple he cleaned the gun, cleaned the car, got rid of his clothes yet fucked up by using his cellphone that day.

    Guilty!

  22. What did Julia get charged with? if Balfour was found guilty then Julia’s fat ass should have been charged with bringing him home.

    What I can’t understand is, there was definitely no proof he did it.

    I think it all goes back to who Jennifer Hudson is and removing him from society before he spot up her image.

      Balfour was not the type to do this without leaving evidence. He does not seem that smart to me. These killings were a drug hit. They cutt off that lil boy’s hands/wrists. who loves someone then does that? I don’t think he is innocent but I think he had help. Jen’s brother was running a drug ring in his mamma’s house. Mama knew about it. Jen wanted to move mom out of that house but by herself but mom didn’t want to move. when you know better you do better. Jen’s mom got caught in the cross fire for raising a no good son and a daughter who had a child with a no good man.

      Soldier, I didn’t know the brother was dealing drugs out the house. Then a drug hit is very possible. But if it was a drug hit why take the baby? the fact that they took the baby seems more personal to me., like it coulda been Balfour.

  38. I do believe he was definitely involved, but I’m not sold on the theory that he was the only one involved in the murders & this was only a crime of passion. Jennifer’s brother was an alleged drug dealer as well as Balfour. It could have been a drug deal gone way wrong.

  42. I don’t believe Balfour had anything to do with the Hudson family deaths. I believe the ex boyfriend Jennifer dumped to be with David Otunga had the family killed. The police put in on Balfour because he has a criminal record and easier to convict because of it.
