Tyler Perry‘s huge studio complex in Atlanta, Georgia is still standing after a four alarm fire drew over 100 firefighters to contain the blaze on Tuesday night, the Associated Press confirmed.
The Why Did I Get Married? filmmaker’s complex which is a 200,000 square-foot studio, five sound stages and a 400-seat theatre, caught fire before 9 p.m., but no injuries were reported, and the structure of the largest building there remains intact.
Now who would start a fire on Perry’s beautiful lot? The cause of the fire and the full extent of the damage is not yet known and Perry has yet to make a statement about the incident.

He’s had a couple good ones….The 1st Why Did I get Married, A Family that Prays, and I’ll give Diary of a Mad Black Woman a pass since it was his first…I’m overjoyed that he employs his people…With that said, since he has more money, he CAN afford better scripts…thats all…I just need more depth…He can leave the simple ish on the stage.

I personally like Tyler Perry. Any black man who can come from nothing, build a brand and still make it his mission to keep other black actors employed gets kudos from me. He not only keeps young black actors employed but he also remembers older black actors that the white stream media has forgotten about

@Corp, I LOVE Tylers story and vision. Some of his movies are better than others but I just chalk it up to everything isn’t for everybody but I def don’t knock his hustle. I just want to see him to grow as a writer/producer and listen to feedback sometimes. He is A ok in my book though.

@Corp I think people expect too much from Tyler’s movies, he is only ONE director/producer/actor. The problem is there arent enough black film makers out there. Tyler Perry is not the voice of all black film makers, so people should stop treating him that way. The brother can make movies about whatever he feels like.
I also am looking forward to someone making a film about his life one day, his WHOLE life.
