Zimmerman reacts after learning he will not be released on bond

Trayvon Martin’s killer will remain behind bars for another month with no bond.

George Zimmerman, 28, appeared in a Seminole County courtroom today for his bond hearing wearing a gray prison issued jumpsuit. He remained calm as the judge read instructions to his attorney Mark O’Mara. After the hearing, O’Mara said bond will be set “in the next few weeks.”

Referring to his client as “indigent,” O’Mara told the media he was not charging Zimmerman a dime for his services. Earlier this week Zimmerman set up a PayPal account on his personal website to receive donations from the public.

Florida State Attorney and prosecutor, Angela Corey, also attended the hearing for Zimmerman’s bond hearing at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility in Sanford, Florida. Zimmerman was charged yesterday with second degree murder in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin who died of a single gunshot wound on February 26, 2012.

Zimmerman has always claimed he acted in self-defense the night he shot Trayvon, who was unarmed. But Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, has a history of prowling his gated community with a gun, and calling 911 46 times to report “suspicious” black men — despite the fact that the men broke no laws.

      I actually kinda dig Ms. Angela Corey. I admire smart women, and that lady had her ducks in a row yesterday, not to mention, she is a good speaker. I tend to notice these things a lot, being that I am constantly doing presentations in school

  14. I think that the media is playing us all like fools, Zimmerman knew he wasn’t getting bail, and he knows he will get away with it! Black people stop jumping and rejoicing, looking like idiots when you’re getting played! They always give us just enough to pacify us and ya’ll accept it like it’s free pancake day at ihop. WAKE UP!

  18. Idk I think i will sit and watch this play all the way out. Call me a skeptic, sell out, all of that but the media knows how to pull those strings. Not to say his death was justified, because it sure wasn’t but I refuse to get riled up when this is just the beginning.

      The media is not supposed to be trusted anyway. They give the people what they want to hear so you get probably 25% of the real story. Now that Zimmerman is arrested and formerly charged, trust you will hear more distorted versions of the story and his natipnality.

    7. YO!!! I read up on this case everyday and everyday it’s some new found bullshit!!! It doesn’t matter if this case goes to trial 20yrs from now. The media coverage and personal feelings for this 17yr old young male will always MAKE us remember!

  25. Hopefully he will get murked while incarcerated. I don’t care if anyone thinks it’s wrong I don’t care. If it was another child I’d feel the same damn way he’s a piece of shit for killing that young boy!
