The LA County coroner’s report lists cocaine among the drugs in Whitney Houston’s system when she died, according to TMZ.com. The coroner’s report also cites “accidental drowning” as the cause of death, which might have been precipitated by a heart attack.
The L.A. County Coroner has just released the singer’s official cause of death — accidental drowning … but the report also notes heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors to Whitney’s demise.
A source connected to the investigation tells us it is “very possible” Whitney had a heart attack that caused her to lose consciousness and drown. The heart attack may have been triggered by hardening of the arteries as a result of cocaine use. Source

She had stunning beauty, incredible talents, charisma and loyal fans however, in the end, she had no will power, no self control and a dysfunctional ego and self image that lead to her tragic end. What a waste. The other waste is that she had so many chances, so many opportunities to turn things around and she had even watched her idols, like Michael Jackson, die from drug abuse and yet she still could not and would not control herself. Sadly, others will look at what happened to Ms. Houston and realize that they, too, need to get their act together and clean up but will not have the strength, courage and determination to do so. I think that everyone assumed that Whitney´s cause of death was related to drug use. It is hard to believe that people can even start using drugs after seeing how it ruins people´s lives. I guess that just shows how strong and powerful the hold drugs have on people. It is not as easy as just deciding to quite one day. It is a long and hard battle back up and for someone like Whitney the battle gets the best of them in the end.
