The Rev. Al Sharpton will hold a non-violent rally in Sanford, Florida to demand justice for 17-year-old Miami resident Trayvon Martin, who was stalked and gunned down by an overzealous neighborhood watch volunteer on Feb. 26.
Sharpton announced through his social networking websites Twitter.com and Facebook that he plans to be in Sanford on Thursday to hold a rally to call for the arrest of Zimmerman.
The rally is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the First Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Sanford, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Many believe Trayvon was the innocent victim of a police wannabe who shot Martin in cold blood and then claimed self-defense.
On Friday, Sanford police chief Bill Lee released eight chilling 911 calls describing a scuffle, a man wailing and pleading for help, and a gunshot. The first call was made by Zimmerman, who said he spotted a “suspicious person” in his gated neighborhood. Zimmerman was told not to pursue Trayvon, but he ignored that order.
Another 911 call was made by a witness who stated two men were fighting on the ground. The caller stated “the guy on top” was wearing white. Zimmerman was wearing a white t-shirt that night. Trayvon wore a grey hoodie.

My account of what happened.
Zimmerman followed, harassed and tried to subdue a child under 18- he should have been arrested for attempted kidnapping. The boy was frightened, it was raining and Zimmerman probably fell on his ass trying to tackle the kid, the kid fought back, when the boy tried to get up and run Zimmerman shot him down.
