National Enquirer Leaks Photo Of Whitney Houston In Coffin

Did someone in Whitney Houston’s camp sell this photo to the National Enquirer or did her family flat-out sell the photo to the Enquirer which is why the viewing was made private?

The national gossip rag displays a photo of the pop icon lying in an open coffin wearing a purple dress on the cover of this week’s issue. The photo is believed to have been taken inside the Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, NJ where her family attended a private wake last Friday.

No word on how much the magazine paid the insider for the photo.

For 1, that funeral director can be sued and #2 I’m sure they made sure no cameras were allowed in that viewing. I’m sure Whitney’s family had full control on the way things went down in order to make a profit. Sounds like she sought an attorney who’s advised her very well.

That picture was more than likely taken before the family got there to approve the body and before the spread of flowers was placed on the foot of the casket. She looks beautiful and i am sure the family is livid as that day was invite only and private.

Greed is a terrible thing if this business that the family trusted to take care of arrangements for Whitney and her dad sold them out just to make a big dollar.

I am sure Cissy discused with the family how private she wanted this wake to be and how she didnt want no pictures being taken, if she did she would of had an open casket at Whitneys funeral service with an annoucment to even say no pictures taken and all cellular phones off.

@Ebony – Funeral Homes really don’t need adverstiment. Most can’t afford to have that kind of funeral. Her casket probably cost in the neighborhoold of 20k. Most folks don’t have burial insurance and your average casket cost about 2 to 10k.

    3. @ Y’all Did you see this lady and the jacket she wore at the funeral? lol. That’s screaming for attention within itself. I peeked at the website and saw that it was only 5 comments on the guest book page 3 days after the funeral and now its like thousands. Once they display their business name it is advertisment in my opinion. The only Orbituary there is 4 or 5 including Whitney and hers is the longest.

If they leaked it they want people to say what a wonderful job they did with laying Whitney away being that it was a closed casket for the funeral. Crazy as it sounds some people do that.

Thank you QueenC, the fact that the family sold the picture is common sense which is why she didn’t want the coffin open to the world. Plus the photo is a professional photo. You can tell the funeral home was empty at the time. The Houston’s have to do what they have to do to stay afloat. Her record label said: She had 25 family members on her payroll.
