Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music’s queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, has died at the age of 48. The media is not reporting how the singer died or where she was when she passed away but I’m sure that will be revealed in the days to come.

  8. This is a complete surprise. I imagine there wil be a tribute to Whitney on tomorrow nights Grammy show. Sorry her voice was silenced too early because of the poor choice to use drugs. Never a happy ending when using drugs.

      1. CNN recanted that statement about Ray J finding her and said it was Whitney Houston’s bodyguard who’s name happens to also be Ray….This is so sad. RIP Whitney!

  35. I don’t know why, but this hit me like a ton of bricks when hubby told me. My heart didn’t even sink like that when Michael Jackson died. I know Whit has been looking bad this week, but still I didn’t expect this. Poor poor Bobbi Chris. R.I.P Whit.

  75. Truly is not the time for foolishness. Whitney Houston is first a mother. A mother who has passed on at a very early age leaving behind a a daughter. I am so sad right now. Been a fan for quite a few years and this has hit hard. I just cannot believe it. Prayers to Cissy, Bobbi Kris and her brother Gary. Unbelievable!

    According to a source, after Francis performed an Etta James tribute and Houston joined Price on stage, the two were reintroduced in the VIP section. “It didn’t seem like Whitney remembered her, but she was cordial at first.”

    The scene changed minutes later when R&B star Ray J, who Francis had met over the years, stepped into the conversation. “Whitney just got belligerent,” an eyewitness tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Ray was trying to defend Stacy, telling Whitney, ‘Stacy’s family!’, but Whitney was feeling crowded out and hands were raised.”

    Fortunately, the situation was diffused without any punches thrown, but says the source, “You didn’t know which way it could go there for a minute.”

    When contacted by THR, Francis didn’t deny that the incident happened, but would only say, “I have the utmost respect for Whitney Houston and her talent.”

  104. I said on another board earlier today that her behind the music episode was already shot and they were just waiting for her to die to air it. hours later, she’s pronounced dead. sad, sad life.

    clive davis was seated with brandy and monica on some entertainment show and whitney walked up looking a mess. you should’ve seen the look on brandy’s face. priceless. a day later, whitney’s pronounced dead.

  116. It’s sad, but I wasn’t the least bit surprised. I think all the crap they put in drugs will still kill you even if you stop taking them. I feel, and am worried for Bobbi Kristina. If anyone needs our prayers now, it’s her.

    After listening to all of Whitney’s old songs, I had completely forgotten how pure her voice was. What a loss.

    It’s funny how life is, after this morning I was sure all the questions on the Grammy’s red carpet were going to be about Blue. Now, no one gives a damn.

        I think we do Whitney’s memory a grave dis-service by assuming she died of drugs when the cause of death has yet to be revealed. and Whitney was a grown woman no one put a gun to her head therefore I’m sure she was responsible for the choices she made in her life, so to blame BB is just not fair IMO ladies.

        Sorry @BBallen but., I really blame Bobby Brown. He was jealous of her fame and talent and set out to bring her down.
        while it took a while, he did it. Yes we all have our own will, and no one should be pointing fingers, but anyone with a brain knows her downfall started when she married him. God bless her family…

She loved Bobby and we don’t know if he ruined her or not but I will say, she was a grown woman and made her own decisions and nobody held a gun to her head.
