Occupy ‘WALL STREET’ Is A Revolution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Occupy Wall Street protestors clogged streets and tied up traffic around the U.S. today to mark two months since the movement’s birth and signaled they aren’t ready to quit, despite the breakups by police of many of their encampments throughout these different cities.

More than 200 people were arrested in New York as protestors walked in the streets and chanted “banks were bailed out, while the American people were sold out!” and “All day, all week, shut down Wall Street”.

More than 1,000 demonstrators gathered near the New York Stock Exchange and sat down in several intersections. Helmeted police broke up some of the gatherings, but operations at the stock market were not disrupted.

Later, the crowd split up for rallies elsewhere in the city. Some also planned to head into the subways, then march over the Brooklyn Bridge. Protests took place in Boston, Los Angeles, Washington, Kansas City, MO, Buffalo, NY, Portland, Oregon and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Occupy Wall Street is a huge movement people….I sense a revolution marching in and after any revolution comes change!!!

    1. I hope they hosed down the park and used disinfectant
Zuccotti Park is different. While most parks are public, this one is privately owned. Its owner is one of America’s largest commercial real estate firms. Brookfield Properties owns lots of property in lower Manhattan — and its status among corporate “citizens” is enviable. The park looks brand new and quiet frankly they’ve been good to the OWS protestors.

  2. Police are trying to block 5th avenue, and are pulling white barriers into the road. A protester wearing a mask pushed over a barricade; he was then chased by police. Only a few dozen officers and many, many people are still marching.

  3. Bloomberg Gave a Press Conference On Today’s Protests

Mayor Bloomberg addressed the large Occupy Wall Street rallies at a press conference late today. He said that 175 people had been arrested, so far.

The mayor claimed that protesters had antagonized the police by throwing what they believed was vinegar and flicking lit cigarettes at them. NYPD officer Matthew Walters, 24, received 20 stitches on his left hand.

“If anyone’s actions cross the line and threaten the health and safety of others,” the mayor said, “including our first responders, we will respond accordingly.”

    1. Despite the best efforts of the govt, corps and police, this movement is growing
and it’s a good thing the media is covering this which is why Bloomberg is very careful about how this is being handled. Trust me, if it was up to the police they’d gas they ass and start using force.

  4. Just came from foley square. . . Bloomberg spoke to soon about the numbers as there are tens of thousands down there going over the Brooklyn bridge and massing and protesting. He forgot that everyone that had a job would be down there when they got off, and the workers support the protesters in Huge numbers. Watch the 11 o’clock news people!

  5. The Power Elite may have evicted Zuccotti, but OWS will only grow more MASSIVE.

EXCELLENT WORK, PEOPLE!!! Love and 100% Support it! 🙂

And by all means I hope they stay home.
