“Cops Pinned Fake Drug Charges On Innocent People”

Talk about corrupt!

Former Detective Stephen Anderson, pictured above with the slight smirk on his face, testified under a cooperation agreement with prosecutor how it was common practice to fabricate drug charges against innocent people to meet their arrest quotas.

The bombshell testimony from Stephen Anderson is the first public account of the twisted culture behind the false arrests in the Brooklyn South and Queens narcotics squads, which led to the arrests of eight cops and a massive shakeup.

Anderson, testifying under a cooperation agreement with prosecutors, was busted for planting cocaine, a practice known as “flaking,” on four men in a Queens bar in 2008 to help out fellow cop Henry Tavarez, whose buy-and-bust activity had been low.

As a detective, you still have a number to reach while you are in the narcotics division,” Anderson said.

The judge pressed Anderson on whether he ever gave a thought to the damage he was inflicting on the innocent.

“It was something I was seeing a lot of, whether it was from supervisors or under covers and even investigators,” he said.

“It’s almost like you have no emotion with it, that they attach the bodies to it, they’re going to be out of jail tomorrow anyway; nothing is going to happen to them anyway.”

Jose Colon sued the city and was paid $300,000 to settle a false arrest suit he and his brother Maximo, who were falsely arrested by Anderson and his partner Tavarez. A surveillance tape inside the bar showed they had been framed.

A federal judge presiding over the suit said the NYPD’s plagued by “widespread falsification” by arresting officers is a corruption that’s been exposed in numbers.

Ok, so NONE of us are suprised—to meet quotas and get promotions, police routinely falsify evidence, plant evidence and write false reports—the DA will not challenge them and the judges rubber stamp whatever is in the report. The jury always believes the police. Regular people don’t have a chance against the corrupt blue wall. There is no “justice” system in this country—it’s crooked to the core.

I hope no one is suprised by this, when this corrupt shit happens everyday in america, and you have people who defend these low life cops, this is why there is a large disconnect between cops and civilians, no one trust them, except ex-cops, this will not change i can bet you now they are out setting up people, especially people of color.

NYPD is incapable of controling corruption nor the desire to correct it and Federal intervention is the only way to resolve it.

  15. planting drugs, fabricating evidence, and lying on the witness stand has always been common practice in police men all over the USA. this is what happens when you have police policing themselves. you can not have a pervert monitor himself or a crook monitor himself. ask any police officer or police union official what they think of an outside agency monitoring their activities they will always be against it. there is an obvious reason for this. the wolf wants to guard the sheep on his own.

This is not a shock to anybody on this blog other then those folks living in mr. Rogers neighborhood. Its a well known fact that in some cities like New York, or any big city where money and drugs are involved, police take duty in the ghettos of America because the payoff was so good it was like extra income.
Setups are common. Not every cop is a saint but their might be a deal between the some cops on the street and the owners of theses private prisons in order for the owners to make money the cells have to be full and if that is the case then what better friend to have then a cop.
