“Racism Still Exists: Black Man Killed By White Teenagers”

Two carloads of white teenagers drove to Jackson, Mississippi, on what the county district attorney says was a mission of hate: to find and hurt a black person. The hateful teens found their victim, James Craig Anderson, a 49-year-old auto plant worker and beat him to death!

The teens allegedly beat Anderson repeatedly and yelled racial epithets, including “White Power!” according to witnesses. This crime of hate continued as these demonic fools then climbed into their large Ford F250 green pickup truck, floored the gas, and drove the truck right over Anderson, killing him instantly.

Mississippi officials say it was a racially motivated murder. What the gang of teens did not know was that a surveillance camera was focused on the parking lot that night, and many of the events, including the actual murder of Anderson, were captured live on videotape.

As the teens were partying and drinking miles away from Jackson, Mississippi that night, in largely white Rankin County, Deryl Dedmon (the gang leader) told friends they should leave, saying “let’s go fuck with some niggers,” according to law enforcement officials. Then later laughed and bragged how he “ran that nigger over”.

The teens, just 18 years old, has been charged with murder and now faces a possible double life sentence. Calls to Deryl Dedmon’s attorney have gone unanswered.

None of the teens have issued a plea.

  2. The boy’s parents are to blame, he wouldnt have that much hatred in his heart towards blacks if he was not taught such hatred. SOme White people can be so Evil and have so much hate….You never hear stories about black people running over a white man because he was white….Blacks have more Heart than any race (my opinion).

      2. UncleEd, I think black people have a lot of heart too – I know I do – but at the same time, racism isn’t just limited to whites and blacks. Every race has a select group of ignoramuses that pump out their chest with the mind frame they have something to prove. Racism isn’t just limited to some teens running over someone and killing them. It happens in the workplace, restaurants, car dealerships, real estate brokers, and the list continues, just because someone doesn’t kill somebody doesn’t exclude them from being a racist. You’d think after so many years of progression that people would get tired of being put back in the Civil Rights Era and instead of tearing each other down, they’d want to help build them up. People don’t understand that carrying hate in your heart doesn’t make you a person and representing something that is lethal to our society is good.

    1. I disagree on the mental illness part ACQUITTA,
      now don’t get me wrong, there are some cool ass white people BUT, if racism was a mental illness, a lot of people would be in a looney bin somewhere or on the top of the line getting medications for it. Racism is something that people are TAUGHT, they are not born racist. Kids don’t know the difference from color unless someone explains it to them. These kids are a product of RACIST parents and now they feel like they’ve done some good to society because they took this man’s life.

    As I was reading this I was telling myself that we (blacks) are not that racist, even with all the feelings we might harbor because of white people’s treatment of us. Just watching how our President is treated and disrespected, is really making me think that racism is more alive now than ever. They are blatant and disrespectful with it too. It’s really making it hard for me to go to work every day and deal with white folk.

  15. What an incredibly depraved and terrifying tragedy. I saw the video on CNN and it made me think of Mr. James Byrd, Jr., the black man who was dragged to death by white men in Jasper, Texas in the late ’90s. Both of these heinous crimes are reminiscent of racially-motivated murders — otherwise known as lynchings — that occurred for generations in various states, including Mississippi as chronicled in the film “Mississippi Burning” (all these years later,I’m still unable to watch that movie a second time — my emotional reaction to it was visceral.) It’s difficult for me to fathom how individuals can harbor so much hatred toward individuals they have never met that they can target their fellow human beings for acts of inexplicable violence.

    It is my fear that although we have made considerable progress in terms of race relations in this country, there is still a significant undercurrent of racial animosity that seems to have been propagated in recent years. At the same time, we, as a community, appear to be more divided than we ever have been in history. We survived the extreme brutality and subjugation of decades marked by racial bigotry, only to now be pitted against one another. If the worst comes to pass, in the slight chance that there is some sort of larger conflict in the future (I think the next presidential election is going to cause some ugliness to emerge that will make 2008 look like a cakewalk — that’s just my gut feeling), I’m not sure how we would fare.

    My deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Anderson. May you receive the justice you seek.

    1. Very well put…your post echoed my thoughts…this is disgusting and sad. What’s worse is, knowing that racism is learned so their parents and grandparents likely taught these boys that this is an acceptable way to behave. The ignorance has to stop somewhere, but it’s hard when people are being raised in a cesspool of hatred!

  27. DISGUSTING! I can’t change my black and even if I could, I wouldn’t. Why hate someone for something they have no control over and they can’t change? It’s funny though that these kids beat a man – relentlessly – on camera and they’re only looking at life in prison? I know the death penalty uses significantly higher funds than life in prison but I wouldn’t mind my tax dollars being used to make these fuckers die.

  29. Man, what is goin on with all the extra racism this week. Friday in Wisconsin dozens of black youths mob the the state fair and just start beating up only white people for no apparent reason….Now these two white teens murder this black guy for no reason…then that whole fiasco in london where many people say race was an issue that provoked some of the rioting….People need to calm down…being a certain skin color should not get u beat up or shot. Just ridiculous.

  30. As your president I need to warn black people to start arming themselves. If you know your history you know that in times of recession/depression whites need someone to blame. During the great depression it was blacks, after the civil war it was blacks, they need the reassurance that they are better than everyone else and look to strike out at any minority handy, now because we have a black president while all this is going on, they wanna blame black people.
