“The U.K.’s Youngest Alcoholic Is A “3” Year Old Toddler”

I know some of you won’t believe this, that’s why I made sure to publish the source at the end of this piece.

A three-year old British toddler is reportedly England’s youngest ever alcoholic, after recently being treated for his addiction at a West Midlands hospital.

Health officials have since declined to give details on the toddler’s identity or his condition due to patient confidentiality rules.

“We treat alcohol abuse very seriously, and have specialist teams and experts on hand who are there to treat young patients with alcohol-related problems,” a spokeswoman said.

Still, this is the latest case and it has come as a shock to authorities.

Sarah Matthews, spokeswoman for the British Liver Trust, told the Telegraph: “This is an extreme case and definitely one of the youngest cases of alcoholism we have heard of., However, it does raise the issue of the accessibility of alcohol and how normal it has become.”

This is a disgrace., and I’m wondering who the kids parents are?

        I agree……I’m in total shock…wh­ere are the parents. Then I think just because you can get pregnant or get someone pregnant doesn’t make you a parent. What’s wrong with these adults 2day.

        @Xmen, I agree., where were the parents? The kid is 3 and going down to his local pub alone? Where did the kid get the money from for the booze? Sounds like a case for child protective services IMO.

      Of course, but that’s not enough to even become intoxicate­d much less an alcoholic. To become an alcoholic — or even addicted to alcohol — it takes time and repeated consumptio­n. Someone worked at it with this kid.

    Guess it’s not easy being a toddler these days, people don’t understand the stresses those lil rugrats experience­. Diaper rashes, teething pains, rug burn, cat scratches, having to watch Finding Nemo 165 times… guess dat shit can drive anyone to drink. WTF?
